I originally posted about a sound problem I was having with guild wars and got the response "theres a bug in the lastest updates, Anet is gonna fix it". After reading some peoples accounts of thier bugs however, I think mine may be a seperate problem.
From the first day I installed Guild Wars the only sound that has come out of it has been the music. When I go to the audio tab in options, the only slider light up is the music slider. I can't check the boxes "3d audio" or "eax", and all the sliders except for the music slider appear in a dark blackish red color, where the music slider has a yellow fringe and is a lighter color. The other sliders seem to be unactivated. Has anyone else seen this? Is there any other audio options screens? Can I get my sound?
Sound problem, maybe related to the bug...

Could you please post a screenshot of your audio tab? That may help us to figure out what's wrong.
Also, don't worry about 3D Audio Hardware and EAX, those are for specialty sound cards that generally run in 5.1 Surround Sound.

Sounds like a corrupt audio driver.

Interesting... I logged into guild wars to get a screen shot of the audio tab but now all the sliders appear the same color. Music is still the only one working though.
