The Pre-Searing +5 Armour Sword?

I read that there's a quest reward in pre-searing that gives a sword with +5 armour (while enchanted) and I can't find out which quest it is from. I've tried searching and wiki is down, could anybody shine a light on this please?

Charr at the Gate. Prerequisites are you must be level 2. Talk to Prince Rurik in Ascalon City.

chars at gate. talk to rurik in ascalon after u have a secondary profession then exit the town and follow him killing a group of chars.

sure! It's effin amazing, and all you have to do is talk to prince rurik in old ascalon, and he gives you the quest. I believe you have to have completed your primary profession stuff before it becomes active, i.e. go outside first and get frenzy+heal sig (anet teaches you how to be a warrior early). Anyway, you'll meet rurik outside, and he kills a bunch of things for you, and then you get the sword. very easy quest, and a great item for any serious pvper to have.

You have 25 million experience are your Monk and you don't know where to get the +5 armour sword?! - You farm too much.

Oh, and by the way, if you don't have any slots to go back to Pre-Searing, I still have 2 spares of these, you can pick one up if you contact me in-game.

Edit: Got the sword but got owned in the PvP part that takes characters to post-searing.

It's the only sword in the game that has +5 armor (while enchanted) on it, and this mod is quite good for some builds. It's either this, the Fiery Flame Spitter (10-15% recharge) or a +5 energy weapon (of course, there are more, but these are probably most popular) when you want a +5 armor, +30 health or +20% long enchantments upgrade, and many people prefer this sword over the other options.

Me neither only +5 armor while enchanted why u dont put +5 armor mod on any other sword?, or did the quest sword also contains a +5 armor mod on it?

No, but you can add one yourself, giving you +10 armor (while enchanted), which isn't possible on any other sword in the game.

When ur warrior and u have 100 AL Armor u can get 126 AL (10 Sword,16 Shield )

ah ok, ty for the explination, i have 80 armour when i run boon prot, with this i could have 85 instead :O could give tanking a try :P

I run 85 at all time, I really like seeing Warriors and Assassins hitting for less then 20 damage I've actually tanked 4 Warriors and an Assassin in AB yesterday, and hold out for several minutes, then they all died because teammates helped me out

85 armor + Guardian > melee
