Are you connecting Nightfall to your other accounts?

I'm seriously considering not connecting Nightfall to my Prophecies and Factions accounts, simply due to storage limitations. With 8 PvE slots now, my storage is overflowing and some characters are basically mules. Adding 3 more guys using the same storage just doesn't seem like it's going to work for me.

I tried searching first- didn't work- has there been discussion about storage- any hints that it may expand? I don't think it's realistic for Anet to encourage linking accounts and not give us any additional storage. Basically, you give up a storage box for access to new areas for previous characters. I think my new toons may be on their own, which could be fun too, but my warrior really likes travelling and has been looking forward to Elona.

Are others out there thinking about Nightfall as a separate account due to lack of storage? I know, I know, I could let some stuff go, and if we got a dye locker most of my problem would be taken care of!

yes, theres a discussion about storage on this forum. basically, its a wait and see situation. I'm personally going to add nightfall to my existing account 'cause i don't hoard loot, but thats just me.

I couldn't possibly let the opportunity to have heroes in older chapters to pass me by.

Though I could use the extra storage space, I will be merging accounts once Nightfall comes out. I can't imagine unlocking all those skills again for my heroes.

For the way I play I will have 4 slots that could be pvp ... or extra storage. I only have time to juggle 4 chracters and get them to what I consider "done" 100% skill primary job unlock, all the map points, etc.

For me, these are storage characters with the 3 news slots (pre-release + nf merge).

exactly. I've got about 75% of all skills unlocked on my Proph/factions account. I'd gladly give up the two slots to be able to have those skills available for my heros. With the merge I'll have 10 character slots. I honestly dont see my self playing through the game with all of them anyways.

I am merging as well, but I know how you feel about storage. I just recently went threw my storage and tossed out thing’s I simply didn’t use anymore to make room for nightfall.

Ah, good point- I totally spaced on the unlocked skills aspect and I think that outweighs the lack of storage by far. Once I find out what I need for Nightfall, I'll just sell some stacks of materials, and pack lighter for the trip to Elona.

There are so many advantages to merging, I think you'd be insane not to.

I think the better question for you is whether to sell some stuff out of storage, or drop an extra ten bucks for another mule.

I'm merging, definitely. All I really needed was 2 more character slots, my inventory is fine.

I am merging them. As far as storage space is concerned I should have plenty of space as I have 3 mules now as well as 1 PvE of each class and 1 PvP slot. My mules are nearly full, but once Nightfall is released I am sure I will free up those mules.

I will merge, storage is not really a big issue for me, I use the characters bags for storage anyway.

I'll merge them and what is the point of keeping any items from Tyria and Cantha when the new stuffs from Nightfall will attract alot of buyers. Not to mention, i have two characters running as mule for me!

A good cheap way to equip good stats items for hero's?

True, but some of the heroes in Nightfall might have different attribute than what Tyria and Cantha characters might have. Either way, i'm not keeping anything that i gotten from Tyria once Nightfall is released.

All professions have the same attributes throughout. (A warrior is a warrior is a warrior) one of the beauties of the Heros is that YOU set the attribute points for them, set their skills, equip them & apply runes however you want them to play. I think that you can even dye their armor - (I just now thought of that possibility, has anyone tesed it out?)

I'll be linking Nightfall with my account. Right now, I've got storage issues, since I'm hanging on to weapons & stuff to equip my heros, but after release, I'll have a ton of free space.

I'll be merging. If anyone is having that big of a storage problem; you need to cut down on the alternate armor/weapon sets.
