Having access to my previously unlocked skills, giving my Nightfall characters access to Tyrian/Canthan only skills and giving my Tyrian/Canthan characters access to Nightfall only skills, my previous characters being able to access Nightfall and play in the new world are reasons that I will merge.
With the pre-order / pre-release package people will have 3 more characters slots. Even if you make a Dervish and Paragon, you will have an extra slot for storage.
Are you connecting Nightfall to your other accounts?

I don't have a good or definite reason not to merge them. I suppose one of them could be the fact that I wouldn't like switching to different accounts, or even having to make a new e-mail address to accompany the account.

I will merge for sure - I use characters that are temporary out of grace for storage, and I will not lock Elona out for my fav characters either.

Merging...no doubt about it.
I had a hard enough time with heroes during the preview realizing that I didn't have anything unlocked on my preview-only account. Level 17 monk with healing breeze and orison...yikes! Not to mention I had to split attributes if I wanted a full skill bar.
(5/8 works fine...just looks funny to me now)
Anyway, I also have storage issues but each hero needs a weapon and probably some runes so that'll help a lot. Not to mention the material dumps to the trader/armor crafters.

Definitely merging, I usually just dump crap to the players i dont play and make them a temporary mule, then when i switch i just throw the items at the other character...its a slow and tedious process...but it gets me by lol A definite plus on trying to get the storage system improved.

I ll merge them but have you notice if we use them separatly we get 4 slots if we merge we get 2 , isnt that unfair ? I mean i bought the game just as much as the other person who didnt own a previous version did, Shouldnt I get 4 slots aswel instead of 2 ?

^That was discussed when Factions went live to. I think it's perfectly fair. It's not so much that they're cheating people with existing accounts as they are giving a bonus to people making new account. Before you could buy character slots; people complained that they needed more. Now just imagine if instead of getting 4 slots when you make a new account; you only got two. No one would like that at all so they give you a bonus 2 slots if it's the first campaign on your account. We all got 4 slots when we first made our accounts as well so don't despair.

You bought Prohphecies, and had 4 slots for 6 professions. Merged with factions, 6 slots for 8 professions. Merged with nightfall, 8 slots for 10 professions. Now, if we got 4+4+4, we'd have 12 slots for 12 professions. If this happened, ANet wouldn't make much money selling character slots. Now, if you get only nightfall, you get 4 slots for 8 professions. What's unfair now, eh?

^ Not to mention that linking accounts gives your new characer's access to two campaigns worth of gold/items/weapons/accumilation in your strong box. Would it be worth it to start from scratch for two additional slots?

Some of the titles you can earn are global across your account. Champion, Gladiator, Hero, Allegiance, Lucky and Unlucky titles are instantly awarded to new NF characters in a merged account that already has the titles. Also, older characters with individual titles have new territory in which to complete their quest for the "Kind of a Big Deal" title by mapping all of Elona or capping all the elites.

merging definately. as for storage the extra space im using right now will open up when i give my extra stuff to heros plus the extra materials ive been packing is going into new armor. im a user of the extra char mule system plus i have 2 accounts already

I'll be merging. My PvE guys need the new skills for PvP and of course heroes can go back to the other campaigns so if you ever want to do anything over in Tyria or Cantha, having heroes could be useful.
