When Does Halloween Begin In Guild Wars

when does halloween start in GW please tell me i cant wait for a pumpkin hat

Nobody actually knows what we get (if anything this year). Personally, I'd expect the event to begin a day or two before halloween, but there has been no official announcment as to a start date. Just keep an eye on the guildwars.com website, you'll see any official announcements there first.

me and some friends were just wondering the same thing. Last years Mad King arrival i believe.....the decorations were up a week before halloween and the heralds began showing up bout 5 days before the 31st. But since Nightfall comes out so close to halloween..I got a hunch..that we will start seeing the "effects of the forbidden god" instead of the mad king heralds. It would tie in nicely with halloween and the release of Nightfall

omg i just thought of something when X-MAS solls around we gonna have candy cane daggers,sythes, and spears

That's only if they decide to put those merchants in the game again =/

I hope the event wont be in Nightfall only but in Tyria and Cantha also

No, the games are more than likely going to be next weekend's event.
The scribe #19 was written on Oct 12 - Here's what it says about the games:

That was written 19 days (almost three weeks) before halloween.

Actually Knight, nothing has been confirmed except that at some point soon the Festival games and Dragon Arena are making a reappearance. There is no official statement that nothing is happening in Tyria.

Well it would start next weekend and last all week, but with Nightfall in the same week not sure what is all going to happen. Yes I know it’s sad that we wont have the same Halloween year (been looking forward since the last night ended) But on the bright side mini games to work on titles, miss those collectors for event items where you had to go out and bring an x item to trade. Hope they don’t do a present drops again but trying to get one when you have a mob around is hard.

lol dont believe anything anyone says because their guess is as good as yours. No one knows if we get a wizard or pumpkin hats or even a scream mask. There is no way anyone knows so its pointless asking and believing them.

I haven't read anything about Halloween being a Cantha only event. The Shing Jea games sure. But nothing about Halloween.

I still have a huge stock of Halloween stuff from last year... Some new player thougt I were a hacker when I showed him it He had just played like 4 months
