Petition: Allow Rank1/Rank2 Titles to be worn.

Currently, I am only Rank2, and I find myself to often spamming HA with R2 _____ LFG. Whenever I do this, I get a PM from somone saying somthing along the lines of "LMFAO YOU NOOB YOU CANT PROVE YOUR R2 LOLOLOL I B3T YOUR A PRO PV3'R LOLOL" And honestly im tired of these annoying PM's.

I want Anet to make it so that we can see Rank1/Rank2 titles, They dont even need to add an emote. It will help the Rank Discrimanation, so every non R3 Would not immeaditly be considered a noob.

I'd rather group with friends than arrogant rank nazis. This is a huge problem, especially with the IWAY farmers. But does showing your R1 or R2 solve the problem? I really don't think it would. People would then just laugh at you for being <R3. And when you get R3, people will laugh at you for being <R6.

This is how it goes. Deal with it and find a good group that you can battle with. I'm sure you're not the only one being shunned by them.

BTW, I have 80 fame.

I can see how this could help; but if they did this they'd have to change other titles too. Like; cartogropher displayable at 20%; protector at 50%.

No because there are not titles at those levels. Rank 1 and 2 already have titles but you are not allowed to show it.

How would this affect new players to HA though? I think this would mean that they'll mostly be grouped with other unranked players and probably wouldn't learn very much at all.

well i have 51 fame and trying to get rank 3. I am constantly seeing r+3 groups. I know if i keep joining Pug's and getting 1-2 fame everytime(Annoying) i would eventually get r3......isnt there also 3 unshowable ra.nks in the sunspear titles also?But thats not as difficult to achieve. and how is 75 fame not an achivement,it is for me and prolly lots of other people too.

seriously... rank 3 was easy to get back in the day... now with iway it is just a joke... just pug with other newbs until you get up to 75 then you can join the rank nazis who pugged their way to rank 3 and knows just as little as you.

I am ranked now and I don't care too much, but a rank2 team is a lot better that a rank 0 to near 3. So, r1/r2 title is good idea, even a r2 could be invited to a r3 team, similar to r5 invited to r6 teams, or r8 invited to r9 teams, etc.

If you can't get to Rank 3 you really don't deserve to show a Hero title. However, it's also amazingly pointless to add names for titles you can't even display, and to have the first 'real' teir be level 3.

It's not like Rank means anything anyway. Just get into groups by adding people you've played with who don't suck to your Friends list?

Ranks 1 and 2 are rediculously easy to get. Rank 3 is about par with gladiator level 1, and much, much easier than champion level 1 (or maybe that's just 'cause I HA too much). Might as well petition to make a Tyrian Explorer 20% and 40% title too.

Not a PvP player but even I think its a bad idea. Anyone can achieve rank 3 with a half decent guild/friend group using one of the cookie cutter builds.

You should sign one of the petitions that wants rank removed all together.

Well perhaps you...rank nazis...is that the word? can start thinking and realise that r3+groups will still be r3+ groups, but now r1+ and r2+ groups can be formed as well.

And then again, a good guild is a way to getting rank 3? How do you get a good guild? The only HA guilds I've seen are....r3+

Yeah real easy getting into those guilds when you aren't rank 3.

And removing the rank would probably piss of all the r3+ players, cutting down the decent players by half, or worse, and creating a whole new problem: you can't know if they are first timers, or if they've played before.

If you don't think r1/2 players are any good, don't party up with them and remain with the r3+ groups.

I really don't see any disadvantage to this plan. And any people who think that a rank is something you can't earn if you don't play HA 3 hours+ a day: if you don't think a rank is deserved, don't give any credit to those people, it wouldn't be like Anet was forcing you.

Try making friends. It helps, it really does. Infact, I know several (ex) GvG players who got into rank 9+ Heroes' Ascent guilds, and they weren't even ranked.

Yeah, you can. Ask them questions, or don't PUG and play with people you know.

Rank has nothing to do with skill. At all.

You don't have to play HA 3+ hours a day. Infact, I probably got to rank 3 in under 3 hours of playtime in Heroes' Ascent. Is it so unreasonable to assume someone who is fairly new at the game couldn't make Rank 3 in 12 hours of play? That's 15 fame an hour. Even if you suck, really, really bad and only do henchway with randoms, you could do it in ~24 hours of play.
