I was just looking at the nightfall skills.

And i spotted this http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Supportive_Spirit.

This could prove to be the new alternative and non-elite version of HH.

For 5...19 seconds, whenever target ally takes damage while knocked down, that ally is healed for 5...29 Health. You could work this around either letting the enemies knock you knock all the time (could be annoying) or bring Desperation Blow and or Drunken Blow.

What do you think?

I think its just as wasted a slot as Healing Hands is. Considering that most wammos bring Dolyak Signet but yet are too stupid to realise that it adds armour not health like they worship so much in there weapon mod choice.

Oh wait, with this skill they can bring Mending, Endure Pain, Defy Pain and Dolyak Signet, pure leetage!

Oh wait, with this skill they can bring Mending, Endure Pain, Defy Pain and Dolyak Signet, pure leetage! Lol, I love the Wammo Derrogatory Term =P. Anyhow, it's probably because people think that the numbers in their face matter so much. It's crazy how much a +5 Armor Pommel is worth, as opposed to a +30 Pommel. Think about it, once any caster drops a spell on you that does 30+ damage...well..

Your uber Sundering Crystalline Sword of Fortitude will become a Sundering Crystalline Sword. Wheareas (sp?) if you use a +5 defense mod, no matter how much damage you take, that mod will always be working for you.

Anyhow, for the Supportive Spirit skill..I don't really think that one can rely on that very much, because many areas don't have knockdowns. And knocking yourself down is NOT a benefit at all, because you can't kite during that time. Enemies can apply degeneration conditions and deep wounds, which ultimately will 'outdamage' the 5-29 that you get healed per hit.

Fortitude is the best mod, in pvp.

No, this will not replace HH. I think it takes a very stupid wammo to keep himself knocked down to get a heal. Honestly, if I saw a warrior use this on my team, I'd ragequit right there. Even for a farming build, this wouldn't work.

As for Fortitude and Armor debate, its been beaten into the ground and overanalyzed in many threads.

Fortitude is choosen because that health is always present and how many times has a heal saved you at 30 or less health? Alot factoring in spike attempts...Armor can be ingored (by many spells), bypassed (degeneration), etc. In PvE though..armor is just fine most places..how many Obs Flame Spike teams do you meet while beating that mission? Degen isn't constant in most PvE, it usually comes from a stray Apply Poison (and then isnt mass applied since they pick a target and stay with that target), Some Kirin with Tainted Flesh and the henchies pile on you to transfer it, or some Conjure Nightmare type spell the monsters use once if at all before dying >_>.
