Wouldn't it be nice to have an in-game tool that allowed you to see how dye combinations will look on your character's present armor? How it is implemented doesn't matter... perhaps something like the guild emblemer's interface where you can preview guild cape color choices, trim, logo, etc... I know it probably won't be ideal for everyone, but at least it will remove some of the guesswork involved with finding that perfect armor color
