Riverside question
Mister Overhill
Simple question: Can a ranger hit the guards, etc atop the towers in Riverside Province? Will a flatbow do the trick?

I think longbows etc can do the trick, you just need to be positioned correctly. Warriors can also attack them if they're right under the doorway since Guild Wars is vertically challenged by design. You can pick up most drops that way too.

bows will work, as long as you find the higher ground or correct angle.
Also, i recall somebody using traps at the towers. That seemed to work too.

Thanks for the info -- I wasn't certain.

CAREFUL WITH TRAPS AT THE TOWERS!
I don't know if they have fixed the bug, but I have seen it happen twice: laying a trap at the doorway at the tower will teleport the ranger to the top of the tower. You're stuck there unless you can sac yourself and get rebirthed back down (or wait till cutscene).
Casters and rangers can hit the tower guards from below, but the "sweet spot" where you need to stand is very small and moves when the enemy moves. Most of the time melee can hit through the door, as CyberMesh said.
