Last time i played proph was the only one out, now there is factions and this new one this month, i'm wondering if its worth to play again like getting back into the game with just proph, or its not worth it unless u get the newer 2? Cause i hear the newer ones have all the good items, and you get better skills for the proph characters.Also i dont' know if this is true, but is faction the best place to farm now too?
edit: also i'm just pve, i dont' do pvp.
Is this game worth playing with just prophicies?

Sure, the original is still a great game and well worth playing. I'm sure I spend more time there than in Factions.

Yeah Prophecies is still a popular game and you can enjoy the PvE (I still do), but if you want to get involved in PvP a lot having access to the Factions skill is useful.

There are more people playing Proph than Factions , in my opinion, just my judging who you see about.
Many new players playing Proph too, and it has the better PVE side. All factions items can be bought if you only have prophecies, so dont worry.
Only thing you cant have is the skills....so yeah, play Proph!

i cant stand factions.....
90% of my time im spending in prophecies, the other 10% is when im helping guildies.
the items...you can just buy them from other players, especially now that everything droped so cheap. but im defenetly cant wait for the 3th game since it looks awsome

As for farming, there's pleny of good farming in Tyria - TOMBS, Ettins, and a few other places will get decent loot. Of course, UW and FoW are still the ultimate farming areas in any of the chapters.

i really think factions is optional becuse the original in my opinion was the better but yes for pvp you would want factions for the few extra skills

its just i'm overwhelmed right now with just prohicies, and 2 add another 2 games would make te game 2x as big i would be just more confused about stuff then i am now if thats possible. But i don't wana be at a disadvantage when farming cause i'm lacking certian skills that are amazing for farming for certain characters, or are all the skills they give u in proph all you need to farm well? Cause to buy both factions and the new one thats like 130$ and i havent even finished proph yet i think i might have a char half way threw lol.

But when I started to try and get some builds together faction fell short. For example, there's no way to get a solo build with factions only skills, prophecies only will do fine.
I bought prophecies because I wanted to make a 55hp/necro. SS/Essence Bond/Balthazar's Spirit are all Prophecies only.
The skill set in prophecies seems a little better that factions, especially necro elites.

IMO the original is still way better then Factions. I was kinda let down with Factions till I got out of the city. I prefer the nice open spaces :-) Also the Am Fah are fun and all but nothing beats taking out large groups of Trolls, Grawls, Dwarves, and Mantle. I already have Nightfall ordered but you can bet as soon as my chars finish the chapter its back to Propecies.

Well, if you played Prophecies before and got bored of it, I doubt it will be any different just because new chapters came out. Now if you got the new chapters, then it would be different. More things to do. More places to explore. More things to kill
