Question on Apply Poison

I tired out a Ranger secondary yesterday for the first time. I like the double application of conditions (Jagged Strike and Poison). As I went through my combos I noticed that Death Blossom did not apply poison to any other foes. I am new to the assassin and am wondering if this supposed to be like that? Since you are striking all area foes shouldn’t the poison effect them all?

No your not, your doing damage to other foes, your not actually hitting them. Its like saying Splinter Shot should cause mass poison if it is blocked.

Death Blossom deals AOE damage, it doesn't strike all the foes directly.

Death Blossom = AoE dmg, your not hitting them with your daggers.

On the other hand..

Cyclone Axe = Hitting all adjacent foes. Hit=poison, so all enemies hit are poisoned.
