Ettin Rune Farming Build

Hello all, I am hoping to make a good ettin farming build,this may not be perfect but i am trying to make one.
How to get there
Start from beetletun,beregen hot springs,or lions arch.Beregen Hot Springs is the quickest but hardest I reccomend that only warriors go this way.Lions arch is easy but it does take a little while.Starting from beetletun is what I would reccomend for most casters since you can easily get past some Ettins alive.Starting from beetletun you move north,you can fight mergoyles there pretty easy if you like.Avrica are pretty easy also but i prefer to run past them.Keep running straight until you reach some houses,now turn right and keep on going untill you see a portal called North Kryta Province,this is were the Ettins are.You will see some people on the left go through there untill you reach a gate,press ctrl or whatever you have it to track enemies down enemies.Now make sure not to aggro mergoyles or skales they can easily mess you up.Normally there is only 4-6 ettins there.

ARMOR AND WEAPONS
Yes this can be done with axe by switching out sever artery for cleave.Gash for Executioners strike.And final thrust for Disrupting Chop.You might think im crazy putting in cleave instead of Eviscerate but since it is really spamable mixed with Conjure Flame I think it is just a little better.What I use for armor is full glads and a Ascalon helmet for damage reduction and Mark Of Rodgart is really energy heavy so you might even want to take it out and put in something else like Dragon Slash or maybe Hundred Blades although it really wouldnt help to much.For the weapons anything fiery is good [I prefer to use a Fiery Dragon Sword] any other mod is helpfull but Ettins really die quickly so you dont really nead fortitude or defence but fiery is not optinal.If you arr keeping Mark Of Rodgort then you should not take a IAS since you nead all of the energy you nead,also you can take out rust but that helps alot since there healing signet takes three times longer and you can do alot of damage in that amount of time.Also seeing that I put 12+3+1=16 but if you dont like the looks of it than I dont blame you lol but anyways 16 would be the most efficient seeing that this is definately not made for as much defence then offence,but with frenzy up you may have to watch your help.I used to have mark of rodgort but i realized that I nead a elite and hundred blades and dragon slash will be the best way to go.
SKILL USES
Conjures Flame use is that so you can do more damage with your fiery weapon and can help allot when your fighting the Ettins.Mark Of Rodgorts use is that so you can set them on fire for basically the rest of there lives and drain it very easily.Rusts use is that there signets take three times longer to cast so that way you can give them alot of damage while there casting there healing signet.Frenzys use is that it is a IAS so you can deal more damage over time but it is not necesary and it just adds to the energy so you might just want to switch it out for Dragon Slash.Healing Signet can just spead things up after you kill a group of Ettins and heal yourself.Sever Artery is a attack skill so it can also spead things up for the run I dont think you really would want to switch it out for something otherwise you cant do the sever/gash combo.Gash gives a deep wound ONLY if they are suffering from bleading and does some extra damage so do sever artery then gash otherwise it wont do anything speacial.Final thrust is a big damage dealer and will definatly spead things up after there health is below 50% you deal +32 damage anyways but if there health is below 50% when you use this skill the damage is doubled which is quite alot of damage.Also Im trying to think of a way to add in warriors endurance maybe I could take out frenzy but then I would have no IAS.
ANYTHING ELSE
This is my very first build that I am posting so yes it may not be perfect so in that case critisisim is welcome but please dont flame to bad.Also feal free to help out on this build, I hope it helps somebody to make a even better build and helps some people around,also remember to bring a ID kit so you can see if you got anything good.After about 7 runs I always get Superior Vigor or a superior monk rune which are the only ones that are worth something,other superior runes can sell for about 200 gold at a rune trader or you might be able to find somebody that wants one of them.Also if you nead any help getting there just PM me in game and I would be glad to help.Also if you are another proffesion just post it here and i can try to find out a way to solo without to much trouble and with alot of ease like im trying to do here.And remember this is my first build so critisisim is welcome and just PM me in game if you nead a run to that place or anything else involving this build.Also if you are wondering why we are doing this on level 16 Ettins it is because they have a high drop rate to drop gold armor that can be superior vigor and can make you quite wealthy.Another reason I posted this build and didnt just keep it to myself is that I used to be a noob and not know how to make money untill I read a thread a while back about how to Ettin Rune Farm and were it is located.After a long time I think that died out and I decided to post up how to do it and even include a build.Also PM me in game for any info or help.Also this build really is not necesarry anything can work since Ettins are only about level 15 and come in packs of 2-4.

Other than spelling errors, I noticed that you put Executioner's strike twice; allow me to reccomend, for axes, Cleave, Disrupting chop, and exec strike. One disrupting chop should make the ettin unable to ever use his healing signet again beacuse he should be dead within 20 seconds of it getting disrupted.

Thanks for the heads up but i think i might take out a skill and put in savage slash in instead since it will have some more damage on the Ettins,but i guess disrupting chop would be good for axes,if only axes had a savage something for extra damage interrupt.

Other than that, I don't see a problem. Yes I did have some energy management problems in this post but I should maybe even put in warriors endurance since that could help on some energy management.Maybe also bonetis defence but that irresistible blow might kill me.

rather take something to interupt their healing signets. I've not tried taking them on as a warrior but an Ele makes this run nice and easy

Dont even worry about their Heal Sig..
Just take 16 swordsmanship - Sever, Gash, Galrath(or silverwing), Final Thrust. That kills them THROUGH their heal sig in about 7-8 secs if Final or Galrath hits during a Heal Sig. If not, It only takes 3-4 more secs to kill them afterwards.
Anything else is just wasted :\ Take Heal Sig, Sprint, IAS Stance (Frenzy is fine) and w/e elite you want.

Ya I kind of tried to make a build but really you can use any build you want these guys suck,but this is a pretty fast method also is it just me or have you guys notice that there arent any many gold drops has Anet nerfed it cause I have only done 5 runs but normally I get about 3 golds in that time.

I have been running my Assassin thru here for awhile, I actually like it better than
a warrior, here are the skills I use :
1. Mending
2. Vig. spirit
3. Healing hands
4. Jagged strike
5. Wild strike
6. Blinding powder
7. Death blossom
8. Horns of the ox
I can take on four ettins at once no problem now, just get them blinded and then use
healing hands only when needed, basically an emergency bailout skill, I don't really
use it much anymore, and horns of the ox could be subbed to, but this build works
great.

Savage slash won't do extra damage versus ettins because they don't cast spells. Disrupting chop is the best interrupt for ettins because it's adrenal (more spammable) and deals damage (unlike distracting blow). The sword build I have been using to farm ettins lately works great:

you can do this with a 55 monk-it just takes a while. with soj, you just have to wait for them to kill themselfs vs soj. add zealots fire and symbol of wrath for even more bang

Are you sure that a 55 monk would really be effective here ? Cause i would think that would take some time but with more smiting spells it could be quick but warrior might be quicker.

Hmmmm Im thinking about making a few changes liketaking out mark of rodgort for 100 blades or dragon slash because this build might be a little energy heavy with mark of rodgort and a elite will probably make it quicker.

Rodgert is fine - just offset the energy with a glyph.
