hi just curious is it a good idea to have a aoe effect on a healing monk in pve since ai tends to attack monk and if a aoe enchament on a monk goes off it will scatter the enemy making it safer for the monk, just curious..any input will be appreciated..thanks...(pardon my horrible grammar cuz is late at nite)

i assume you mean kirins wraths or its prophocies equivalent. I tried this once, but its usually much better jsut to kite. It also helps you learn basic kiting for pvp

Usually you can just kite away. The AoE is only really helpful if you're completely surrounded or pinned in a corner, but that would be a result of poor positioning, not a problem with your build.

You could always pack firestorm and use that or Bathazar Aura same will scatter but not all.The best is to kite like the others said.

Quite a fan of flametrap, slot space allowing.

In FoW I used to see the “Get the monk!” move way too often (stopped going now, got a bit sick of it):

Enemy monk at rear of mob cluster: Warrior notices, “Must kill monk!” then skirts round melee foes he’s trading blows with to assault monk. Mantle they’re not!

I'm usually forced to rugby tackle lethal enemy melee mobs (to reach plate-mailed idiot), who weren’t that fussed about hitting the 'tank' to start with....don’t blame them, I don’t like him either...

Standing on a flametrap (allied!) can force a re-target saving your life, well until someone thinks how else to get you murdered.

IMHO, unless you're going as a smiter, then I'd say no. Your job is to keep the team alive not to do damage. If you're getting pounded run.
