My Characters Keep Re-arranging Themsleves

I tried doing a search for this. Didn't find the results I was looking for.

Here's the problem I'm having. Every once in a while, my characters will rearrange themselves on the log in selection screen.

The most recent time was after the removal of the Nightfall preview content. When I was playing those new characters over that weekend, they were at the end. Then Monday after the content was removed, they were cycled to the middle and all the other characters were rearranged. The new characters were not together. Some of my prophecies and factions characters were in between the new positions of the Nightfall characters.

This is not the only time it happened. There have been a few other times as well, that was just the most recent. It seems to happen about every 4-6 month, seemingly random.

Is it possible this happens when I delete cookies or do a disk clean up or a defrag?

This is not a huge deal, just kind of annoying overall. Anyone have any thoughts?

my characters are sorting wierdly-- also when i logout a character, it randomly goes to a character when i login, not the first on the list, nor the one i was last playing... just a random one.

talking to a few guildies, apparently this is kind of a common occurrence. one says it happens ever time he logs in.
