Monk Question...

I wanna know something....when you play as a monk, how do you play, do you smite?
Do you heal?

How do you play with henchies?

Best to ask in the Monk Forum but it is best ot heal or protect and how do you play with Henchies there is guide on that in communty works.I would suggest anything more to ask in the Monk Forum.

When with Henchies, I Smite. When with PUGs, I heal.

I always heal. PUGs expect monks to heal, and henchies can't hea lthemselfs at all.

Smiting is so fun, but in PUGs it's pretty much impossible, unless you like hearing : ZOMG WTF GAY MONK HEAL ME NOOB!!!!11

Heal or Bond with PUGs.

Which is the reason my monk is a Smiter! I'd have thought the name, Triumph Dolosmite, might have given the game away but no I still get the "WTF!!! Heal me n00b" banter.

Can't wait to get the monk heroes... perhaps now I can turn my full attention to smiting while playing alone... In PUGs I haven't dared to try yet.

My monks 2ndry is Ranger, so i actually completed most of the quests\easy missions with henchies playing ranger. If I play with a guild group\pug then im heal only

Heal or Protect with real people. Most of the time, heal with henches.

However, I found when I wanted to cap a skill in Abaddon's Mouth with henches, it was easiest for my Mo/Me to go Illusion/Domination to get the job done!! (No hench in Tyria is equal to Willa the Unpleasant if you happen to run into her!)

Woh and 5 energy spells is my friend, but I also like to go bonder with henchies, it makes them not get owned so easily

With people i'm almost always using woh build with mend cond and inspired hex/revealed depending on which area of the game it is.

As you can prolly tell by name I protect. I do have 2 hats a supe prot hat and a supe heal hat. I only play healer when theres foes that are prone to strip enchantments and or make it painful to me to enchant. Now as far as playing with hench it is a ruff go as a Bonder to play with hench as Bonders tend to want to hang in the back and just keep the bonds up , but with having to actually shoot at foes to instigate the henches into doing something. That makes it impossible to remain in the back and stay safe. Now as far as bonding with real people Ive seen a healer complaining in S. F. WTF Bondo isn't doing anything !!!!!! My only reply was ok Tank do you want me to remove the buffs? And promptly from all in party except from the noob healer was NOOOOOOOO!!!! BTW when a Bonder looks like hes grunting hes doing something.
Oh and people wanting to healed by me better be in my pocket because I carry no attributes in healing so my heals work only in divine and are area effect only.

When there's at lease another person, I heal or protect. When it's all henchies, I smite, dom, barrage or sometimes I'll even carry a hammer.

In human parties I usually heal. There's lots of damage-dealing profs and healers are always in short supply.

When henching I usually heal,too. It's good practice, and it's safer to rely on the henchies' killing abilities than their healing abilities.
Just remember that CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE targets enemies for the henchmen without causing you to rush in and try to wand them to death.

smite by self or henchie, heal with parties (though I did get to smite in one group since we had 3 monks, that was soooo nice).

Whichever I feel like at the time or works best for a guild group. I don't PUG with my monk very often, it is not worth the hassle.

I rather enjoy smiting so use it whenever the chance presents itself.

Get gear and a hat for all 3 and use them all.

PuG - Bonder or Prot, heal if I absolutely have to

With Henchies - Bonder (without Prot hench) or Smiter with both monk henchies. I really like running 3 sup runes and doing a combo of all trhee lines.
I <3 henchies, they never complain about my silly builds

I don't know why people think the henchie monks can't keep you alive worth a piss, they do me right everytime I play with them...

funniest experience is in dunes of despair, we had 3 monks so i had to go on smite...

If you play with hench, go smite and take both healer hench. other wise go heal.
