competition at an international stage like WCG (it gets huge media coverage, i was there earlier this year when it was held in Singapore) can only be awesome for GW.

as a 'e-sport', GW still needs more exposure to the community of 'professional players' (and the WCG is one big gathering of them) and of course more incentives, i've won more $$$ playing just local CS tournaments than the GWWC participants won at an international one

EDIT - Also with more exposure to the games more people buying it etc, all us now will be able to get more out of gw as in new updates and stuff. The game deserves something we need to rise up towards the status of wow(as in known by a whole lot people)

As far as I know, for reasons of game integrity Anet does not allow third parties to host Guildwars on those 3rd parties servers. Therefore Guildwars can only be part of this championship thingie if Anet hosts and supervises it on the Anet servers. This would require a fair amount of time and effort on Anet's part and, in my opinion, Anet has far better things to do with their resources than spending it on yet another event that is for the PvP-community only.
So : NOT-signed.

Guildwars doesnt focus on how much money you can earn, but rather the skill you contain to defeat an opponent in battle while adhering to a variety of rulesets
