Something up with ArenaNet?

I tried logging on a few minutes ago and the game wouldn't connect. It kept saying connecting, with the loading bar at 0%. So I figure something is up with my game. I uninstall and now I'm trying to reinstall, the connecting to ArenaNet message has a full load bar, but nothing is happening!

ANyone got advice? Or a solution?

Well I'm getting in fine so I think we can rule out server side issue.

TEMPORARILY turn off firewalls, and see if that solves the problem. if so, it is a routing/port/firewall issue and needs work. then IMMEDIATELY turn firewall back on. turning off firewalls is not safe, lets nasty things in, and is not recommended to anyone. but it may be an easy elimination of other possible problems

New problem!!

I open up my Task Manager to see whats going on...And its running 4 copies of GW and 2 copies of GWSetup. But I can't end process on any of them. When I try NOTHING HAPPENS!

EDIT: Ok so i fiddled with my firewalls, did nothing to help, but thanks for hte advice. I finally said screw it and restarted and now everything is back to normal. Panic is over!

If i can get a lock on this thread thanks, no reason to leave it open

i realize you are done, but FYI, someone else had a problem with multiple gw's running, and reinstalling the client fixed it
