i was looking over this data and to me the mods on these weapons are total CRAP

i feel cheated now after all the kurzick chests ive opened. i should have saved my cash. i hope anet rewrites the chest drop code for nightfall so that we will get shit worth spending 600g for

this can be associated with salvaging mods too and the future of selectable salvaged mods. ive had perfect weapons drop for me from monsters in low end areas of the game, only to salvage them and get materials or the worthless mod. i know its just luck + code that you get the perfect mod but it all still = bullshit 95% of the time.

Why would Anet make all chests give you good stuff? It is a money sink after all. And you can buy keys for less than 600g, typically 500g from the owners of Luxon or Kurzick towns.

Why would anyone buy the lottery then? They waste a dollar for every ticket they buy, and most of the time they don't even get ANYTHING back for it. Heck, they don't even get equivalent of a chest farming title. To the OP, opening chests is not the most reliable way for you to make gold. Try farming. Also, all you need is one good item to make up for the gold you spend on the keys. At about 500g each and you get 200g back from merchant or mods so 300g net loss per key, all you need is a 100k weapon every 333 chests that you open to make up for the gold spent while still being able to get your chest opening title. In the long run you'll come out on top, which is better than the lottery as it is.

and im sure everyone would like to see a better mod more often on thier golds

It would be nice to see alot more nice mods on gold drops, but then again, if they dropped more frequently there wouldn't be a market worth for any of the mods because everyone would have them. I think the more important thing with opening chests is the titles you can earn. Farming is the best way to make gold in my opinion, and i've gotten alot better gold drops just troll farmin than i get out of the chests.
