Nightfall version of The Edge, a GW utility
Zam Fear
My brothers and I have just released a new version of The Edge (a guild wars utility - not a game add-in). We first released this program right before Prophecies and have had over 100,000 downloads. Here's a snippet from our website at:
http://renobrothers.waynereno.com/
-------------------------------------------------------------
The Edge Nightfall, (with Factions and Prophecies) version 3.04 is a Guild Wars utility that lets you research many facets of the game. For the first time, ALL of the skills from all three campaigns are available. This means you can now see all of the Nightfall skills and their icons, PLUS, all the new skills and icons for the first six professions and the Ritualist and Assassin! The damage calculations in The Edge have been greatly enhanced in this release.
You can do sophisticated word-searches of all skill information, sort for the most useful skills, view damage and energy use per second and adjust your attributes, armor, weapons, energy and health settings to tweak, test and document your builds. You can easily use The Edge to find the locations of skills (including elites) so you'll always know which quests to do and which outposts have the skill trainers you'll need. If you want to be a great Guild Wars player, you need The Edge! For more information see the tutorial.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Hope some of you find this utility of benefit. Believe me, a LOT of hard, voluntary work has gone into this program, including gathering all the skill and icon data during the preview events.

I will stick to Guildwiki for my skills info needs in the meantime
Zam Fear
Yes, it pays to be cautious. That's why we have a fansite hosting it and don't allow downloads from any other source. The Edge has been used by lots of people for 1.5 years with no PC problems because there isn't any malicious code in it; again, if downloaded from that single source.
By the way, I use GW Wiki too for many things but it doesn't have comparative damage calculations, skill grouping via search features, or the tracking of which skills you do and don't have.

I wont download it simply because its on GWOnline..
I wonder how many MORE dl's that program would get if it was on Guru..
I'd estimate 3 or 4 times more at least

Seems a bit premature to release something with Nightfall skills info since the skills in the pve preview are all subject to change. But then I was annoyed that they got added to the master lists on Wiki too.

But they do it to save bandwidth most likely. Basically they won't want freeloader guests taking bandwidth.
Just a guess

I highly recommend The Edge. It had been a while since I tried it, and I'm glad I tried it again.
Keep up the good work!
