Can you tame a Strider?

I started a Ranger class and ever since I was an elemenatlist when I first bought the game, I wonder if Striders could be tamed. I never seen anyone with one, can anyone clue me in this?

And is a Strider better than a Stalker (the dog) ? Thanks.

1.You can tame a Strider.

2.The Strider isn't better than the Stalker, just different. (Strider has faster attacks than the Stalker but lower damage, iirc)

I was thinking of trying and charming a moss spider or a warthog. =)

pre-sear warthog is doable, spiders are not considered an animal though

and yes one pet over another can be important, based upon what you are needing. extra tank, more dmg, faster hits? there is a pet for each pretty much

i need a pet with more dmg and fairly good tanking anyone have any suggestions?

hehe striders rule. i have a level 19 one which *usually not always* outlives peoples level 19 stalkers but right now until there is more information available i think its preference looks-wise to a pet that matters. Hopefully some people will be able to figure out if certain pets do more damage or can take more blows.
