I need some advice. I basically started farming 2 weeks ago, and in that time I have managed to accumulate alot of money. The thing is that farming is so boring... I have now decided to concentrate on boss killing. Its not really for the items because with the amount of cash that I have I can basically get anything I want. What I want is the challenge of working out ways to kill those bastards.
This is where the advice comes in. Nightfall is starting pretty soon, so dont really want to try every single char out there. I have given 55 monking, 55 SS Necro, VwK Rit boss farming, and while they do fine for selected bosses I am not content! I am looking for the char that can solo the most bosses (dont want builds, I will figure that out for myself).
Reading these forums, and asking around it seems that some people tout assassins, warriors and necros. Due to time constraints I dont wish to waste my time on a char that isnt the best for the job. Please point me in the right direction!!!

From my experience, a Warrior is the best for boss killing.
THe problem with chars such as 55 Monks or VwK Rits is that if the boss stops to heal, you can't do much to stop him, and he stops taking damage (even SS isn't that great vs bosses)
Warriors can interrupt, have high AL and can dish out some nasty-mean damage with axe, sword or hammer.
Personally, I find most bosses topple nicely if you use Sever Artery, Gash, Savage Slash (or whatever it's called - interrupt sword skill) and Final Thrust.
As for secondaries, thats pretty boss-dependent. Id recommend you get ascended (or Wei No Su or whatever it is - I don't play Factions as much as Prophecies) and get set up so you can switch your secondaries based on your boss' skill setup and his honour-guard of other critters.
Good luck Post screenshots of some of the bosses you solo.

To be honest, the best profession to go boss-hunting is the Assassin. There's a thread around here with the build. You basically go as a A/E and your key skills are Shadow Form, Sliver Armor. If you wondered why there were so many A/E and E/A in Zin Ku Corridor, it's because they were using this build to farm the Kaolin Construct.

Here's the deal though: the A/E shadow form build is not guaranteed - if you somehow screw up the timing, don't pull correctly, or can't seem to get sliver to target correctly no matter how many times you try (or retry), you die and start over. This could be bad if it takes a while to actually get to the boss. There are plenty of builds out there that can solo bosses better than the A/E - mostly those who are actually separate from a mob and can be pulled easily.
Really, use the A/E for bosses that can't be solo farmed easily - mesmers and necros are tops on the list, especially those that remove enchants or hex heavy. Constructs and Sunreach are there because the mobs are well balanced and way too big to kill off.

Touchrangers too can solo a huge list of bosses the thread should be somewhere on the older pages... I believe that lists over 30 bosses.. and there are more bosses that can be killed by the R/N than listed there, but you would have to go through the pages (the one who kept the thread updated quitted guru)

Warriors are fantastic characters for farming. They are very versatile characters and builds vary a lot. This means once you get bored with a certain farming method you can switch to another. With the assasin builds mentioned here you are using shadow form and sliver Zzzzzzz. Warrior farms can also be very challenging, which brings back the fun to farming. For example UW farming, mursaat farming, FoW forest farming. So yeah I'd definetly reccommend warrior.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will give ranger and warrior a spin. I agree with the comment about sins and boring. That is the problem I have with my Rit and 55. Basically only one way to do it effectively.

That's the R/N farming thread.
