So, no one wants their Ritualists/Assassins/Paragons/Dervishes to have pumpkin crowns? Pssh!

i mantain that this event will NEVER be as good as the orignal event, mainly because La was such a nice town, and all that it did hadn't be done before, so unless Anet thinks of something really spectacular like fire works that the player can launch anywhere, it will be a good event just not a great one.
also as a vetran of the last event i will be dissapointed if it is just another pumpkin helm like last years, even if it is a pumpkin hat with diffrent styleling i will be happy, mainly because i have every single last bit of promo head gear i am not planning on stopping now...

I think this was directed at me, since it came after my post, and you didn't include quotes. That said, I supplied no arguments. I simply asked a (what I thought was an obvious) question, and supplied my own statement (opinion) in response after. If you think I was starting an argument, that's your opinion based on pure conjecture.

Also, I didn't have the game last Halloween, either. I'd like to not be excluded from my chance at a customized piece of costume-wear that I can't get any other way, just simply because I bought this game a couple of months later.

It's not terribly important, no. I'm just voicing my opinion, as I believe we are all entitled to. Since Anet will do whatever they want to do, the only thing i can do is voice my opinion.

Contrary to the OP, I very much hope they give out pumpkin hats again this year... last year I had this thing called real life on Halloween (more specifically a college project to do), so I missed out. I'm hoping but not holding my breath that ANet's idea of a "modest Halloween" is to do something similar to last year... elsewise I'll be bummed.

Just to go against the naysayers, I hope we get the pumkin crown again, its the coolest hat in the game IMHO.

I hope we get something useful this time. Like Halloween weapons. I have had all five hats and now I only have the Antlers, Santa, and Dragon left. I'm planning on deleting the first two, and only keeping the Dragon one because it looks so nice on 15k Canthan Warrior armor.

Just be thankful you're getting an event.

I missed the event last year, so I'm thankful that we getting a modest event this year. However, I hope a hat/helmet/headgear is given as prize and no need to be a pumpkin crown or halloween weapons. After reading the last scribe there is no comfirmation of the return of the mad king or the prize that is going to be given.

I dont know what to say, except..... lets hope this year's hat will be better but it will never replace the Pumkin Crown.

thank you i was just going to post this link :P i am personally glad that they are not reusing the pumpkin crown. i look at the pumpkin crown kind of like the Divine Aura(which i dont have but wish i did) if you were lucky enough to buy the CE of prophicies then you got the Divine Aura.....and if you were lucky enough to buy the game before holloween last year you got pumpkin crown. **prepares for flames from newer players**

I fall into that category of “whenever something happens I’m not around”.
Even though I’ve been playing GW for 15 months I have successfully missed Halloween (Internet down 3 weeks), Christmas (Away on holiday), Dragon festival (Moved to London) and now I’m going to be missing NF release (Paintball tournament in Ancaster ?!?!?!)

Even though missing out on the gifts was disappointing, I don’t want some recycled old Pumpkin hat, which I never liked anyway. A skull mask would be excellent and witch’s hat… I wouldn’t even bother. Fireworks would be great too, and fighting this Mad King guy sounds even better. But alas as it always is with Anet, we will have to wait and see.

I'm happy the pumpkin mask is not going to be available, even though I was still in Pre for last Halloween.

I hope they give out a new armor piece in the "Halloween Set".
