same here, i reserved four names already by using the prelease pack to create a new account...after i delete them on that account, they will be availiable to me...im only gonna get to create three new characters, so im gonna have to think about it for a bit...but yeah...proprietary material...lol

I doubt anyone has the name I want for my Dervish, but I'm still keeping it a secret just in case. For my paragon, I have not planned a name yet.

I have Divine Lenneth for Dervish and Celestial Luminary for Paragon. Probably going to change the Paragon name though... sounds a bit too stuffy. I typically name my characters after favorite characters in other games, anyway

I haven't decided yet. Lol! And it'll take me at least an hour to choose a name. It always does. That's why I am not starting a new character in NF the first weekend. My monk that I made in GWF uses the name that was my "PvP name", but since I always played prot monk, I actually had ~6 skill points on the PvP character when I deleted it and rolled it into a PvE.

I plan to figure out appearance first then going deleting the character and remaking because sometimes I have trouble deciding and end up taking a break for some fresh air then coming back and choosing. Normally this isn't a problem in Guild Wars because of the pathetic ammount of choices.
Who knows, maybe they will surprise us and make a few new ones for the release.

I've really no need to reserve them; the names I'm thinking of aren't something that someone else can easily come up with out of the blue, although that did happen with my original Assassin name, to my great surprise(and NO it had nothing to do with Naruto). I guess someone out there had my similar tastes in asian names.

I think for paragons best fits commander/Gods names, so I reserved "Hektor of Troia" for my male paragon. I noticed also that all the roman/greek names of fameous generals where already taken (that was 3 months ago).

I had a thread on this up on my guild's message board, (not open to the general public, tyvm ) and the feeling is that while my guildmates are gonna stick with their naming conventions, they're gonna have a more african flavour to em, (no imagination, some people.) As for me, I've got in mind some names with a distinctly Germanic flavour to them. Erika Ixionus is one name I have reserved and I've been playing around with names like Klaus, Magnus, Rosa, Nikkolai, (branching off into more of a Russian etc style, but hey, variety is the spice of life, as they say,) as well as a few names that came out of nowhere. For one, I think a Male Dervish called 'Zacharias' something or other would rock, it just seems to me, the sort of name that is ideal for a scythe weilding zealot 
Also to note that across 18 character slots and countless characters, I've never had trouble coming up with a unique name, although the 'Sapphireblade' family is starting to get quite large

I reason I asked is becuase some people, like me, just made one or two random characters with the names we want. Once nightfall comes out, these characters will be deleted and the name will be used for the actual characters.
In that respect, I did not put my names at risk by posting them, as they are already taken throughthis method.

Like mentioned, your name will be saved for one hour when you delete your char.. so if you are not toying around for an hour when you make your char, there shouldn't be any name stealing at all

I always have trouble with names, both for GW characters and for stories I write. All my secondary characters' names are puns in one way or another:

Keeping with the "double meaning" theme, I named my preview Paragon "Piercing Melody" (Hint: what type of damage do spears do?) and while I loved the Paragon I don't like the name as much as what I called my Dervish - "Scything Cleavage"
The problem is that Dervish doesn't exactly fit my play style. I got my A/Rt through all of Factions as a spirit spammer, and only switched to melee when someone said they wanted me to in Imperial Sanctum. Worse, Dervish will catch all the hate the way Assassin did unless it gets some sort of buff before Nightfall release. I liked the Paragon much more than I expected I would during the PvE preview, and as I will only create one character to unlock all Nightfall skills P/D is looking much more attractive than D/P even though Dervish has +4 energy regeneration.
Chances are I'll end up deleting the Dervish and remaking the Paragon with a new name, but time will tell
