I dont know but in the last week i have lost 2 30 health axe mods, I have lost 1 sword 30 health mod, a couple of 20 / 20 ap mods from sword to bow. All these off golds. Going back a few weeks now I think I am 1 for 10 on success salvage on a gold with perfect mod.

None of these salvaged the other mod, they all just salvaged crafting garbage.

It seems lately i have 75% failure rate on salvage of any gold item (i now have 160 steel ignots). I will just go through my inventory and salvage any gold in there i was going to merch and every one seems to go to crafting supplies till i hit a purple then it will get a mod.

Is there something going on lately where they upped the failure rate on golds. If so i will sell them for a fraction and let someone else try there luck.

Does anyone else seem to have a failure rate on these that is a bit high.

Before you ask yes I only use expert kits

I haven't done any salvages recently, but I'd say it's just bad luck... The odds for getting crafting material aren't low enough to be impossible to get 5-6 bad salvages in a row, just very unlikely... so it is entirely possible.

If you want to try and proove something buy some unided golds for 1k ea and give it a go.

I have been having the same problem, so I know how you feel.

Hmm... no, I suppose waiting for the 100% guaranteed salvage system from Nightfall would just be too tedious.

Bah! What do I know?

All salvages are random. Theres nothing you can do about it. Theres no statistics. This thread will be having a conversation that'll go nowhere, so I'm going to close it.
