yeah, frys still has preorder copies here.....lots of them, and both reg and ce of factions too.....nothing else new, will keep checking this week.................

Yeah someone high up needs to pull some strings and get the word out to go ahead and allow retailers to display Nightfall as soon as it is received in shipment. We already are required to wait till the 27th to be able to play the game so we should at least be able to go ahead and prepare ourselves by picking up our retail boxes and cdkeys. That was we could all go ahead and enter our keys and be completely prepared and when it goes live it will much easier for the end user. It will also make this release look so much better than the last one. Imagine CE and standard edition released at the same time and EARLY!

the only thing that will make me sad is that my over-night shipping will get me the box on the 27th so Ill be sitting there doing some AB or crap for a few hours on the 26h while the people who use the online store start playing asap. (goes live at 3AM easterns so i guess its not too horrible... ill only be teased while i sleep)

pre-ordered for next day shipping at gamestop, but on 25-26th, I'll hit walmart, bestbuy, circuit city, compusa, etc. to bug them about it...If I get one before I got it from gamestop, i'll just return it to their store, thx to free shipping

Amazon.com seems delayed so I'm prolly going to cancel on them and go preorder it from my local EB. I'm not waiting until Nov 4-6 for Nightfall to come in the mail ~ thanks Amazon. :]

Ninja edit: Is it confirmed that you can buy Nightfall from the GW store?

Edit: Nevermind haha, I'm going to buy the access key right off the store. No shipping problems then! :]

I hope to have mine on the 27th as I preordered from GameStop, it says they'll ship on the 26th, however from past dealings with them, they will most likely use the 26th as the day they process the order, and ship it on the 27th. Then even with overnight shipping, I won't get it until the 30th. Only one time have I ever gotten an item on the day it was supposed to come out from GameStop.

My order from Amazon.com also says delayed but my shipment estimate says oct 30th - nov 1st. I ordered the CE and when I saw delayed shipment I got a bit mad I might also do the same thing or just stick it out and see what happens. Amazon.com got me the factions standard on time so I still have some faith.

I'm going to wake up early on the 17th and buy NIghtfall through the online store. I don;t need a CE, and it gets me rolling quickly, no fuss, no muss.

Of course, I *will* be checkign the forums before buying, just to be sure that the launch and store are working properly. Love ANet; have great respect for their work. But I'm a software engineer, and I *know* how these things go sometimes...

Well talking to my friend that use to work at BB, he said that they normal get stuff in on Mondays, but they normaly don't put them out early becuase of well you know getting suded and that stuff. I will most likey try and go in wensday and thursday to get it. Hopefull i can, if not Fryday.

Im just gonna get my copy as son as it hits the shelves, which is probably the 27th. There is a small local computer shop that sells these games the day it comes out. But is it true the the CE only comes with the DVD game disk?Or will it matter at all since Ive got factions and prophecies installed?

You wont need the disk; just stream the update like normal. But the CE does only come with a dvd.

Oh yes the very fair prices on the online store... 45 USDs OR 45 EUR (nice convert ratio!!) for just a key.

GWP is on the stores for 30EUR or so, I can usually buy accounts for 15-20EUR, but the store insists on selling a key for 45EUR... and the weirdest thing is that people actually DO buy keys from there

they're already packing it ready for shipping =D

Maybe they realised other e-retailers are undercutting them, so they want to keep us customers happy^^

He never said the traffic would be caused by the Guild Wars release. Simply that there would be traffic on his way home from work, as there always is. And having an opportunity to buy the game at a time where the traffic wouldn't be so heavy would have been nice. check walmart.com for USA, guild wars gets released the 26th, so thursday evening I'll check to see if they've got it. Seems like alot of guys are having trouble with mail-order. glad i waited to see if nightfall was worth it. hopefully walmart or SAM's club will have it.

Strange. I preordered my CE from EB (Seattle), and the receipt says that the release date is the 26th. I called them up to confirm, and they said... the release date is the 26th.

Good news Id imagine, with any luck itll ship tomorrow and I can spend all wednesday staring at the box wishing I could log into Kamadan.
