ebgames starter kit is now FREE with nightfall purchase

I placed my pre-order for the CE + the Starter Kit about a month ago, and at that time they were charging an extra $5 for the Start Kit ($10 if you bought it by itself).

Now I just checked to see when my order would ship and they have lowered the price. The Start Kit is now FREE ($5 if you buy it by itself). This change was retroactively applied to my order.

Also, the website says the game will ship on the 26th. I opted for the cheap USA-Ground so I probably won't get the game until the end of the month.

That has been what the site has said for a few weeks now. My only beef with it is it doesn't apply to the Canadian stores.

I paid $10 when I preordered one of each at EB about a month ago, but both were applied to the price of the games, not extra charges.

The title of the thread mislead me a bit. The starter kit is free only with purchase of the collector's edition, not the "regular" version of the game. So the regular version never really changed, just the bundle package offer lost all its value when the start kit went from $10 to $5.

Was free in Sydney right from the start (I placed my preorder the day the packs came out). Looks like it's just taking time for the central policy to be communicated everywhere...
