Nightfall comes out in about a week (maybe a week exactly depending on your time zone). And most people are looking forward to getting the game.
Do you feel pressured to get through the game quickly?
I know that when Factions came out, Amber and Jade sold for near 6k gold, Ritualist and Assassin runes were expensive, and Greens/Zodiac's/Celestials were hardly the price they are now. Certain quests were exploitable to attain large amounts of faction in a short time. Farming areas in Factions now are like a depleted gold mine compared to what it was at the beginning of the game.
Bosses will be brimming with greens, their chances of dropping a green will probably be higher, though that is unproven, I imagine their green/gold drop rate is signifcantly better at the beginning of the game. I know when I first played through Factions I got more gold drops at the beginning of the game. Some will say it was just luck, but I believe that's not true.
Do you feel like there is economical pressure to rush through the game? To be among the first to get high-level Greens/Golds/Runes to sell at a profit that will not be seen until the next chapter comes out? Max Scythes and Spears will be a premium when the game is released. Or do you want to rush through the game to find that exploitable area Anet was bound to not realize? (Not like anyone will admit to the latter.)
I want to take my time and enjoy the game, especially with a better story line, but a part of my wants to blaze through the game to have a better chance to strike it rich or gain an advantage in PvP with newly capped Elites.
You look in the Nightfall subforum and there are parties forming to beat the game as quickly as possible. I guess some people enjoy the game that way or want the best monetary advantage possible, but in a way it feels like you are blowing away Anet's hard work in a two day run to beat the game.
Do any of you feel similar pressure?

I wont do what I did with factions (I still havent beaten the game. :P) in Nightfall. Id prefer to have at least compeleted the game in under a month, but I dont think Ill really pressure myself to beat the game in 2 days. It kind of ruins the fun, because youve already seen everything, but you havent looked at the details, and you dont WANT to since you already have seen everything. :O my logic makes no sense.
No, I will not rush through the game, however I will try to beat it quickly.

Maybe we can power through at record speed and farm like crazy to get these items together then race to see who can sell the fastest for the most ?
I'll rush through it to prove that my Hero build is indeed the ultimate.
Factions took me exactly a week to complete with my lv. 20 Tyrian Necromancer (I sold the Ceremonial Daggers at the end for a whopping 80k. That felt good). I predict that Nightfall will take me less time, actually, since unlike Factions, there will actually be lots of people at the end-missions: Heroes and Henchmen.
Plus, I'm completely free Friday and Saturday.

None whatsoever. I'll undoubtedly create both a Paragon and a Dervish and alternate playing them and also bring all of my existing 5 toons over as well. Add to that going to Tyria or Factions and helping out guildies who don't have Nightfall, assuming there are some - there were some with Prophecies and not Factions.
I'm a slow and steady player, not interested in finishing fast or getting rich so there is little motivation to race through it, I'll just plod along and enjoy the journey.
