Name: Speedrazor
Type: PvE
Category: Fast Extreme Damage
Attributes:
16 Dagger Mastery[12+1+3]
13 Critical Strike[12+1]
4 Shadow Arts[3+1]
Skill Set:
Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Repeating Strike
Critical Strike
Critical Eye
Flashing Blades[Elite]
Critical Defense
Shadow Refuge/Rez Sig
Summary:
This build is about high damage with fast recharge time that creates high chances of critical hits. This allows Critical Defense to be on almost all the time. Along with Flashing Blades, you can basically have 90% blocking ability on almost the entire time. This doesnt give a reason to tank. On the contrary, this merely gives you support while you are taking out the enemy one by one. What I do is basically do my prep work ie. Crit Eye, Flashing Blades, Crit Def. Then I run in there and use my attack set. I usually use Repeating Strike for a number of times if I need to let my skills recharge a little. If by chance that Crit Defense goes off, I run out the battle and reset my prep work. I put in Shadow Refuge to give me a quick self heal in case my defenses go down.

I have lots of fun with this build and I just started an assassin so its really the only one I know. Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a good first build to me. Since you already have about 68% blocking with Crit. Defense, you might consider Way of the Empty Palm as your elite. This would let you spam repeating strike as much as you want for no energy cost.

(Deadly Arts)[E] 5e 1/4c 25r - For 5...17 seconds, off-hand and dual attacks cost no Energy.

For the price of -1 Dagger Mastery (20attr) you can get Deadly Arts to 7 (with +1 rune), which makes it last 12 seconds. For the price of -2 DM, it can last 15 seconds.
Additionally, I would consider being A/W and losing Critical Eye for Frenzy. You already have a cancel stance in the build, and with WotEP this would let you spam Repeating very quickly at no energy cost. Potential for lots of very quick, free damage. Plus, the extra speed would go nicely with the name you've given the build =P

Consider replacing critical eye with the elite skill Way of the Assassin.

For 20 seconds, if you are under the effects of an Enchantment, your attacks have a +5...29% chance to critical.

This of course would mean dropping flashing blades, but increases the chance you will criticall hit, therefore keeping critical defences up longer and also providing energy.

Well energy really isnt a problem. I use Everthorn's Chakrams so I have a constant flow of energy coming in and all my attacks are only 5 Energy and they have fast recharging times. I can rack up a lot of damage in a short time.

If I go against a mob that uses a lot of degen attacks like Am Fah or Afflicted Assassins/Necromancers, I usually put in Shadow Refuge to counteract the bleeding/poison while I get healed by the monks. Plus once I get degened I usually pull out the battle till I can heal fully.

Way of the Assassin sounds like a good skill. I like Flashing Blades but Im going to try that out once I actually get the skill.

Any other suggestions?

The damage of this assassin is extremely low because of repeating strike.

Could you explain that please?

Ya degen does kinda hurt this build so I took out Dark Escape for Shadow Refuge. At least its a quick cure till I can get to my monk and get healed

It's better to let assassins spike...repeating strike is more pressure.

Get wild blow instead of Critical Strike, and Twisting Fangs instead of Repeating Strike.

I see no healing in your build, you must have a healer who must really like you in order to heal you every so often (yes you can block, but no condition removal, no hex removal, no self-healing of any kind).

If someone uses blocking or evades, your first attack means nothing, repeating strike won't hit, so your critical strike may not get used at all. There goes your defense from CD.

I agree with Yanman.be regarding spiking. But then you might as well drop critical defenses, jagged strike and pickup unsuspecting strike and shadow refuge or some form of healing.

Overall it isn't a bad build, but I still like to see some self-healing (my personal preference).

Im using Shadow Refuge over Dark Escape since poison/bleeding degen was killing me.

Repeating Strike was simply there for an extra attack to help me possibly gain some crit hits and let my other skills recharge. It works out good if I use Repeating like twice then go to Critical Strike. By that time, Ill have Jagged Strike back up and I can go through my skill set again.

Ok this is my new build. Its similar to the previous one except Im using some different skills.

Here is the new build:

Profession: Assassin/Warrior
Name: Speedrazor
Type: PvE
Category: Fast Extreme Damage
Attributes:
16 Dagger Mastery[12+1+3]
13 Critical Strike[12+1]
4 Shadow Arts[3+1]
Skill Set:
Wild Blow
Jagged Strike
Wild Strike
Critical Strike
Critical Eye
Flashing Blades[Elite]
Critical Defense
Shadow Refuge

In PvE I was having some trouble against targets that used Whirling Defense or Lightning Reflex. So I changed to Assassin/Warrior and put it Wild Blow. Wild Blow helps start out the sequence by prematurely ending whatever stance they were using. Then I go into the Jagged/Wild/Crit Strike attacks. With this build I can keep Critical Defense up almost indefinitely. Accompanied with Flashing Blades and I cant be hit.

When Nightfall comes out, I will replace Critical Eye with Way of the Assassin since WotA seems like it could work well with this build.

For Massive damage try:
Siphon Speed
Black Lotus Strike
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Blades of Steel
Flourish
Critical Eye
Res Sig

Oh wait, thats a Flourish Sin.

Hmm. How about

Unsuspecting
Wild Strike
Twisting Fangs
Moebius Strike
Critical Eye
Shadow Refuge/Dark Escape
Plague Touch
Res Sig

Or any other sin build besides repeating, I saw a repeating sin once and lmao'd. Took him 3x longer to kill anything than it did me using CS+Moebius

Moebius seems like a good skill but the problem is its Elite =/
