Yet another log in problem

Ok i looked at other probs here and not seen the same as mine so here goes

Basically i run the game and where the little box to the rite of the screen containing latest news etc. should apear i have nothing and then when i try to log in a box apears saying connecting but nothing ever happens and no error message.

I'm guessing peops are gonna say ports blocked etc. but its not that.
As for one the game gets the little download stat apearing at the top rite of the log in screen and it works.

Also this is the second time i've had this problem in a week the first time i fixed it by reinstalling the game but obviously i dont want to keep having to do that.

I'm pretty sure its a problem with the .dat file so has anyone else experianced this or know the answer.

Also i tried the game installed to my new hd just incase the drive was causing some corruption but the same happened.


Ok just a quick update its def a .dat file prob as i just reinst gw and saved the previous inst .dat file added it to the new workin inst and it fails log in again

yeah ive had that so many times the only thing i could do was just delete and start the download process, downloading 80,000 files at 20kb's a second sucks i tell you this, i think it took almost 3 days of downloading to get it all .

ive tried opening ports and all that stuff firewall on and off allowing the game to go through the firewall im still unsure what causes this myself.

If this started yesterday, it might be because of increased traffic because of "Boardwalk Weekend".

I almost never have delays logging on, but yesterday I did. I had to try and connect 3 times before I got on. Then when I got to Shing Jea, there were over 50 districts in use. So there must have been some massive activity, which would have really slowed down access. The same thing happened this morning, also with over 35 monestary districts.
