I got into factions late, and currently the only character that I have to Senji's with is a R/Mo. I've heard from guildies that vermin are fairly profitable to farm, but I haven't been able to find any R/* vermin farm builds. Today I've been playing with a trapper/barrage build, but it's success rate against groups of 3-4 is about 25%-33%. Obviously, that isn't very efficient, or profitable, so I was wondering if anyone had some ideas.
The build I'm using is this:
Attributes: (rough estimate, as I've been playing with them)
Marksmanship: 11+2 (Major rune)
WS: 10
Expertise: 10+1(headpiece)
Barrage {e}
Throw Dirt
Whirling Defense
Flame Trap
Barbed Trap
Dust Trap
Troll Ungeunt
Serpents Quickness
skill usage:
Traps (SQ right before the first one ends)
--Aggro (I've tried laying 2 rounds of traps before aggro, can't tell any differense)
vermin hit traps
Troll Ungeunt
Barrage Spam/Lay traps under blinded vermin
The major problem I'm having is that normally, 2 vermin run from the AoE trap dmg, and one stays around. Damage get's unevenly distributed, and one vermin stays alive long enough for me to run out of anti melee skills and promptly kills me. So any ideas? Is vermin farming even possible with a ranger?

Look under the R/Mo section, Uchiha Arashi wrote a guide on how to farm vermin.
Personally I think Kirin/Undergrowth is easier/more profitable, but it may just be personal preference.

Sweet, thanks for the link and the suggestion on Kirin/Undergrowth farming. I'll need to pick up a couple skills for that build, but it should be no problem. Thanks again for the help

I've posted the build I use for Kirin/Undergrowthes there too in the frums section with credit to Uchiha Arashi.
You get 1k - 2k per run in about a 5 min run. I use a 250% xp scroll ang garner about 8kexp in a trip as well. I've also done a great Job salvaging Steel from drops there.
