Ectos,shards and nightfall

Do u guys think nightfall will influence these materials prices?

They could go up if the new classes get very desirable FoW armor but its a gamble, prices could go down too if NF has areas where ecto's & shards drop for instance or if the NF armors prove much more popular then FoW armor.

at beginning prices will drop because people will see that there is a need for gold to obtain new armors (15k esp)

some weeks after first ppl bought fow armor prices will change again.

Exact same thing happend when Factions came out, ecto/shards whent down down down, I actuly made profit by buying shards from Merchant and selling them the next day back to him.

And then I think you all know that ecto went as high as 8k ea and Skards 4k+ ea, but now they are low.

But again ppl will start FoW-ing UW-ing and trying to get FoW armors. And prices will go up

I think prices will prob hover around 7-9k for ecto
and shards are always about half that

thats how 6 of my 8 chars got fow.

True, I have a guild group read to run my dervish through. I figure it's going to be about 5 hours and I'll have my FoW. That's assuming though that the boat won't be accessable as soon as you reach Kamadan though.

What it the nightfall monsters drop ectos themselves? That would seriously damage the ecto market. With that said I'm thinking about selling my stack next time they peak.

I honestly don't think Anet would do that to UW and FoW or if they did, it would only be in areas that farming is less profitable than in UW or FoW i.e. ToPK.

Considering Arena.Net is working on the economy, and there is a picture of an abyssal in Nightfall. I have NO DOUBT atleast shards will be dropping in Nightfall.


Now this would have a positive effect on me. Because when I get FoW armor, I won't be accused of Ebay or Farming.

Well, the tombs of the primeeval kings which we can assume is involved with Abbadon with the giant tentacles all around it. Now its possible those same monsters will be in nightfall.

Makes me think about the 'old days', when a single Glob had a worth of ~15k. I spend a lot of gold getting those for my FoW armor...

Time will tell.
