Undercity Bugged?!
Rakeris
Ok, I went to Undercity today on a new character and for some reason it was not uncovering the map, (or counting toward explored %) and it was not updating my position (the green X with a circle around it). I thought maybe it was because of a quest I had open or something. I came back later when the quest was no longer open and I had the same problem. So then I check on my other character and had the same problem. It was already all explored but my position never updated.
Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah it's been doing that for me too.

The Undercity has been fixed for a while now and acts like the Catacombs where it is unmappable. To map the top part, you need to enter Skyway.
Dr Wu
Same for me..the mission map works ok though..I used that to find Pei in the last part of Mayhem.
Scutilla
It's now considered an indoor area, like a few other places (Catacombs, Dragon's Lair, FoW, and UW to name a few). It's seperate from the world map, and the U map is a seperate area that is completely fogged every time you re-enter it. Unfogging the area does not uncover fog on the world map, nor does it count towards Canthan Grandmaster Cartographer.
I'm curious to know if they made any patches of fog for GMC no longer accessible by doing this- meaning there were patches in the Skyway that were only accessible from the Undercity. Hopefully they checked that before changing it

You used to be able to get a couple tenths of a percent by scraping the walls of the Undercity that you couldn't get from the Skyway. Now those are gone.
Commander Ryker
I had the same problem in Dragon's Throat. Is that considered an "indoor area" too?
Rakeris
Interesting, that kinda sucks. As now I'm gona have to use the little map. (granted you can make it bigger)
And did they change the UC as well? As I tried to go somewhere I know I had went before but the path was all changed up. =(

I doubt they changed the routing. Eveerything seemed in place the last few quests I did down there.
I'll say that prior to the update, I found it a bit odd you could map the Skyway from the Undercity, so this is more in line with reality. Also, since GMC has some leeway in the final 100%, that 0.3% shouldn't be a big deal.

Dragons throat, the mission town and the mission itself are not mappable, the zone outside however is. Undercity isn't mappable anymore nor does it show the marker in the right place either. I think it came about with the update not to long ago. Sort of annoying especially if you're questing or capping down there.

It's kind of stupid to have Dragon's Throat itself not map... you have to go outside and stand right by the zoneline to uncover what you can.
Also, I can now never get that one little blotch of fog that was only uncoverable from the Undercity. (I'm at 99.3%)

There's still plenty of stuff for 100% Cantha (even on a Tyrian). I got 100% with a Tyrian without the spots in the undercity, dragons throat, monastery overlook or shing jae arena (just lobby) and even have a spot or two left to clear. Granted probably 2/3 of what I have left for perfect map is in the Jade mines and good luck getting into those - especially after nightfall comes out.
