Printer Driver problems
awesome sauce
Ok, so I have a deskjet 3820. I lost the original c.d. with the drivers on it, and ive been using the generic "deskjet" driver since I reformatted about 3 months ago. Now I need to print out a school project in color, which the generic driver doesnt support. So, I downloaded the driver from the HP site, but when I click on it to install, all it does is make a new folder with a bunch of .dat and .EX files in it.... no .exe files. Is there some trick to installing this that I need to know? Any help would be appreciated.

whan you set up a printer through XP's add new printer thing, when it asks for a driver, say "have disk" and point it to that folder. its not a seperate install that i know of, so there wouldnt be a ad.exe or something. its all done internally
