You cannot smurf.... Accounts cost 150$(post nightflal), not including the time unlocking needed skills. In order to smurf you need to invest 600$ in buying second accounts and thats only if u have the same 4 people on all of the time, if you dont have them on you dont get to smurf. Realistically you would need 6 second accounts in the smurf guild in order to play. Totally unreasonable response IMO.

When is the last time anyone actually does unrated battles? Our guild has no problem setting up a team to unrated another guild, but its impossible to find any other teams that are willing to take 2 hours out of their time to accomplish essentially nothing. Sure, you can unrated other guilds in tourny, but you really cant run your exact tourny builds because then they know what you are running. Knowing the build you are playing against is KEY in guild wars right now. Anyone can post any time of build and I can post an exact counterbuild that will demolish it 10 out of 10 times.

Anyway, I guess my idea for turn off observer mode was stupid. I just wish there was some way i could play as a team on another guild without having to have a second account or leaving the guild. If alliance members counted as actual members in gvg that would be awesome. Some way to practice builds without being on observer mode is really what im looking for.. does anyone have any other sort of idea?

Have you perhaps tried grabbing 8 opponents from within your guild/alliance and then set up a scrimmage?

Tbh, if u lose cos people counter your build, your doing something seriously wrong. Doesnt it promote balanced teams that have no obvious counter, rather than gimmicks and spikes?

However, some method of practising gvg in a closed environment would be good. Trouble is, it kinda defeats the object. Testing the build requires you to test it vs meta, which i dont think you will get like such.

One suggestion i have is to be able to start a guild battle as you would normally, and choose not to have it seen on onserver. However, you gain no increase in rating, and you must fight a guild who also does not wish to be seen on observer. That way you could gvg 'off ladder' against a random opponent, and those people are the only ones who will be able to see your build.

/signed on some sort of easy practise gvg.
