Some Points of Interest with the Map:

1.) The crater-like northwest corner of the map bears an extremely strong resemblance to the Pockmark Flats of Ascalon.

2.) The capital city in the southwest corner of the mainland does not have any visible parts, although the map is uncovered. This city could be underground or in the Realm of Torment itself.

3.) There is a 4th mission in Istan. My guess is that this mission involves the movement of the Sunspear army to the mainland.

4.) The southeast region is Kourna, northwest is Vabbi, and northwest is Desolation. This is my inference from the given information about the provinces and the process of elimination

5.) The Consulate Docks and the Sun Docks are marked on the map.

6.) There are precisely: 3 Capitals, 17 Missions 1(4 in Istan, 6 in Kourna, 5 in Vabbi, and 2 in Desolation), 16 Outposts, 2 Unknown Locations (Challenge Missions or Portals to the Realm of Torment, maybe?), and 41 Explorable Areas (not including Consulate Docks and Sun Docks).

7.) There is an Explorable Area in the Northernmost tip of Vabbi that is unfogged but seemingly empty. A connection to the Crystal Desert of Tyria, perhaps?

Nice one.
Although the connection to the Crystal desert you mention will be a no-go.
It's been previously stated that the only way to trzavel between the 'continents' (read chapters) will be per boat.

Keep in mind that the "showdown" will take you into the Realm of Torment, which is not part of Elona and not shown on the Elona map. There will be additional locations and missions there.

Like you I'm only guessing. But I've not seen footage or heard of an underground city. But here is concept art of a floating mosque. Maybe it's what's to be found at the locale? Or maybe I'm wrong, can't wait to find out =^ . ^=

Lots of canyonlike areas, as I predicted... can't say I like those. Otherwise, it looks nice.

dam, there's only 17 missions. Here's to hoping the connecting quests will have cinematics. Cinematics help with immersion, since it is harder to read a wall of text that NPCs say than to watch a cinematic.

Nightfall got mroe than 17 missions. All mission areas are not visible in map (Realm of Torment).

Nice. When zoomed out it doesn't look like much, but when zoomed in the areas are pretty huge. Definitely bigger than Cantha.

Once again, they only use 75% of the map.

For once I would like to see the map fully populated. Even if its dead end areas, atleast it would seem like a full blown world.

I think The Realm of Torment will include more missions. Cause they mentioned some where that there were 20 missions.

Have you ever heard that Rolling Stone’s song “You can’t always get what you want,” because that echo’s when I ready your post (I am just pulling your leg). However due to all the features they are duping in here, I seriously doubted they would 100% of the map. Then again maybe next time, but I doubt it will be 100%, considering the ocean side is never used (unless they do up an underwater experience).

Just popped open my NF CE box here, the map is mighty purdy IRL, since its super-shiny.

Anyways, if people want, I can take a photo of it and post it up, obviously its in english. :P (Its too big to put in the scanner, unfortunately)

Cave(nest) of the Forgottens (the outpost most north)

It seems we will see those forgotten warriors, casters etc once more.

Hall way of flowing sand (quicksand); I think that is what it is... the character was way too small. However, it seem this is the mission they were saying that need to be defog everytime you go there. (mission on most north of the east side, along with the explorable area called "something(too small again) castle/fotress - ha da sin") The other one that seem to have the same effect is "ba dor ka cave" (explorable area), on the most east side in the middle of the map.

Also, I think the black part of the map is those area that have been corrupted. So (POSSIBLE SPOILER!!) I think the last mission is that one next to the hole on the west side called "Ma la ruin".

I think I should wait for english version as well... Chinese version sounding are too inaccurate at times.
