can i use my nightfall cdkey now?

just bought nightfall from eb games. girl who sold me the game told me i can buy now but can't activate until this friday, but she was clueless.

so basically my question is can i use my nightfall cdkey or do i need to wait til 25th?

You could input your key now (I am assuming you are merging accounts, with a join date of Nov 2005). The Nightfall content will not be available until 12:01am on the 27th (PDT).

You could probably use it - but won't be able to play it until the release date of the game.

yep, when you install your nigtfall key, expect nothing to happen until the official launch.

why not before anything you just try to use the key? neways nice avatar i have the larger version as my desktop

You can't "get the head start on everyone" - Anet isnt rolling out the NIghtfall content til Friday.

There's nothing stopping you from using (activating) the key, its just that it will do absolutely nothing until the game officialy launches. The OP is right, that store clerk is clueless. :P.

Well.. if you want somebody who knows something dont buy from there..

However, think about it this way if you could play Nightfall now then it would give you an unfair advatage.. etc..

You may get your extra character slot opened up if you also have applied the bonus pack.

I gotta say all the people that are managing to purchase it now are lucky. Around SE MI cant find a store that has it, or is planning on selling it before noon (or when ever they open) on the 27th. EB and BB both are clueless. any suggestions??

yeah i know it wont go live till 1201 am pdt which is 3am here. So will my local store be open and have it then?? and you should read the posts in the NF section tons of peeps have gotten it early. its the usual hurry up and wait problems.

After seeing this post, I called my own local EB, and they're going to let me have my CEs on Thursday. Thanks for the unintentional nudge to get me to call.

It was posted somewhere that some stores will have it out 2-3 days before the game goes live.
