What are you stocking up on for Nightfall?

Capping elites that will be useful for my heros and common crafting materials.

1) I have kept on to alot of "meh" weapons right now like 15^50 req13 weapons. Basically stuff I got cheap in Auctions, or from chests.

I dont believe in the "I'll salvage off 15^50's and put them on white cys. swords and make a fortune" hype, but incase 15^50 mods are sellable in some form I'd expect them to be really expensive for about a week and its no trouble at all to keep the items in my storage til Friday. If I turn out to be able to get 15^50's off stuff and sell them for 100k+ that first weekend, so be it, if not - So be it too - I didnt lose much.

2) I bumped up my Money supply alittle bit to compensate for new armors or other expenses involved with going through the new chapter. I won't be buying new skinned weapons with jacked-up price tags the first month though So I didnt need to save much.

3) I haven't personally gotten thousands of the best materials (just a few stacks of each) but I planned out places where I could farm them as I needed them or wanted to sell them. I didn't go crazy because I have a suspiction that Materials won't actually inflate as much as we saw in Factions.

4) I have a character with Vigor runes of various kinds coming out his ears! For the last month I've saved any vigor runes that got dropped for me, and picked up some at the cheapest prices. I"ll use alot of minors on Heros I suspect, and Vigors will undoubtably go up in price, so all the extras and Major/Sups I'm sure I'll profit from.

Im not realy doing anything, just waiting for the game to come after all, when we all first started playing Prophecies we didnt have anything and didnt do bad did we?

Im just farming money. Going to need lots of it to buy most of my materials to make the 15 k armors for my 4 char.

I anticipate a large demand for minor vigor runes. People will be creating new chars and multiple heroes so think there will be spike in the price for at least a short period. I have bought a few dozen from the Rune trader in hopes of making some gold once Nighfall begins. Just an experiment really though...might not pan out.

Crafting materials!

I got 5000 iron and 2500 tanned hides right now, going to be buying more hides. Also gonna stock up on bolts of cloth, I have about 1250 of those.

Aside from that, I will probably start buying all the major vigor runes I can get my hands on tonight and tomorrow, and maybe invest in black dyes.

Materials, Money.. and sleep.

Nothing fancy, I don't plan to make a fortune during the material rush, I just want enough keep myself stocked.

Nothing. I just prepared a million in my storage, made from some lucky deals on Guru auctions, and now I'm having a GW break, filled with Oblivion. But I'm coming back on friday with all glory - I know all ya hear me, none of ya scare me, cause paragons die daily

major - sup vigors. rubbies sapphires, dyes, celestial sigils.

I bought 25 Major Vigor Runes in advance (anticipating a price spike)

theres a quest on the starter isle with a reward of a minor vigor rune
- anyone can create a new char and get the rune in less than 20min

^ but we not know when storage will be accessable.

I'm just farming gold at this point. I've been lucky enough to find a Major Vigor around the Troll caves. My goal at the moment is 66k (60k for 15k Armor for my monk as well as 2k for each of my chars) after I reach that goal the rest of the money will go towards whatever.

With all this hoarding going on i doubt there will be much, if any, profit from selling materials.
Runes, however, i belive will be in big demand since all the heros will be needing thoose.
To bad heroes come with their own armor tho.
Personally ive gotten about 10 black dyes for selling and are farming some materials just in case i need some myself.

Wow, some people really are stocking up. Im only getting a stack of some of the common materials i'll probably need for the armours for my new chars, and some minor vigor runes for heroes and minor monk ones for the monk heroes, im just gonna leave getting other bits like 15k armour and runes for other heroes until the prices go down a couple of weeks later.

With soo many people stocking up on materials I'm afraid this will be nothing like Factions. There will be a small rush for such items but the craze will die quickly.

I have 100 steel, for my para, 250 cloth for my dervish. Cloth skyrocketed, just getting it for my own needs.

EDIT- Kurt, that is pathetic.

2nd EDIT - There is a great spot for farming cloth, im talking 200+ in 10 goes.

I'm doing the same as I did with Factions, just saving everything I'm getting.
But this time around, I will sell the materials to make good cash.
Last time I used my material to buy armors.
In Nightfall I'm just taking my time and wont blow thru it as as did with Factions.

Wardens in Arborstone, Ettin humps salvage to a good number of tanned.

You know you can just press F9 and that will show all inventory at the same time, including backpack, belt and the 2 bags.

I've stocked up enough to comfortably get many of my first characters well into the game. I have not much interest in investing time into farming for stuff to sell other people. I'm comfortably well off and that will do. Somethings I've been collecting for NF include:

-22k for my Ele to buy all the new Ele Nightfall skills and 10 signets of capture for the 10 new ele elites. She has all the elites and non-elites in Tyria and Cantha already.
-60k for a new character. Other alliance members don't really understand...but I wasted so much money on my first character through Factions since I didn't know where and when to buy new armor etc.. Hopefully this will mean I can make some mistakes...
-15k for my Mesmer, Necro and Rit to buy selected NF skills (researched from Guildwiki)
-Materials for crafting armor for my NF monk.
-Monk Runes for my NF monk.
-Green weapons for ny NF monk, namely The Scar Eater, Sourgewind's Branch and Byzzr's Benediction when she's good enough...Zinjuu's Sanctuary for her during her early training periods.
-Shing Jea Green Weapons...Just cause I can. Those I may sell on to new NF players for a token amount but I firstly plan on using them on my NF heroes.
-Gold and Purple weapons for Heroes.

I have also prepared some of my other characters for the "Great Elonian Invasion"...Just little things like buying/farming green weapons, collecting potentially useful elites from Cantha and Tyria etc.. (Feast of Corruption ftw!)

Most of what I have I found myself...The only items I ever bought were a few Kaolin Green Weapons for a couple of my characters. I don't like buying what I can potentially farm myself. A lot of the gold weapons I collected for the heroes dropped whilst farming. I hate having to farm for nice things, and i know they're not necessary really...but I did want them and it seems worth it in the end to have a nice skinned weapon. It will be nice to just play through Elona at my own pace and not worry about money too much.

Bearing in mind that this stuff has been collected over the last 2 months...I've not collected any of this to sell really. I do have an excess of cloth which may get sold to alliance members "on the cheap"...but that's about it.

whats sad is that someone decided to insult me because i enjoy playing the economy in the game. Actually you ppl should thank guys like me. I will sell for profit but not gouge because I have so much.

I should have saved my money instead of using it for the Boardwalk and bought more stacks. I think that this time we won't run out of items if people buy THIS much. XD

600k, stack of tanned hides, glittering dust, bones. half filled plant fibers, wood and iron. around 40 steel, 29 ecto, 15 rubies and sapphires ^^

and anyone know a good place for farming iron?

working on getting 250 of everything alrdy have spare stacks of ecto, shards, but missing common materials -_-. Also have 16sup vigors and plenty of 15^50 weapons with higher req/ugly skins.
