Underworld Behemoth's Not Attacking?
Timzor
Well I went into underworld the other day with a guildie, spirit bonder an smiter build, an wanted to go to the chaos plains like we usally do, so we come up on the behemoths an aggro them, an they dont attack so were like ok.... just run past them, so we do and we get further up an 1 starts attacking the smiter out of the blue. Anyone else ever seen this before were they dont attack then they do for a second? then stop again.

I started a thread about this a long time ago but I can't find it anymore...

Maybe they were saying to themselves
"oh another smiter....hmm let's just ignore em and maybe they will go away"

Popup mobs have some trouble with attacking, it seems (FoW forest popups as well).
Or they might be smart enough not to waste shots on the spirit bonder

IMO these kind of things happen all over the game, in both Prophecies and Factions... but only on the harder parts of the game players start to notice it.

Behemoths won't attack if somebody is too close to them. As a tank, try to keep positioning yourself until you'll find a spot where most if not all Behemoths will attack you. Damage dealers should stay as far as possible.

Nah, they'll attack once you attack them. And they'll also sometimes attack if you want to move by. Tried sneaking past them. I survived but the sudden concentrated fire of 2 Obsidian Behemoth Spawns on my gf's smiter was almost an instant kill :/
Ever since i just wand them once and they'll start attacking. For some reason one NPC in a group is allways waiting for his buddies to die. You'll see it with the Aatxes (one bull per group almost allways goes afk) and the Dryders (one of which never attacks with its wand, unless his buddys are dead). But most obviously you'll notice it with mindblade spectres. One mindblade Spectre for each group of 3 goes afk.

I'd like to make myself more clear, that I meant situation where Behemoths won't attack at all even when you're attacking them and so on. The last time me and guildies had this problem, we asked the Famine Ranger to move farther, and Behemoths always started attacking after that. This is less of a problem with caster-only teams, thought.
