Tascas Demise and Mineral Springs
Dutch Masterr
Hi, recently ive been farming ids and capping some skills up in mineral springs. Ive noticed that this area for some reason, especialy the ice imp cave, can become very very glitchy and laggy--(such as ill try to attack an imp and it doesnt, then i move 20 feet away and it attacks). Also right outside the granite citadel, the map doesnt show the group of stone summit behind the rocks until you are right next to them......anyone else notice this?

This same problem is occuring in all maps, on all servers (so far as I have seen, though without access to a Korean/Japanese account, I can but rely on my friends and what they say). It doesn't happen all the time, but play in a zone enough and you'll see it eventually, even if it is fleeting. It's probably due to the upcoming Nightfall release in some way, though I can't really say what way that would be.
Or maybe it's just a minor bug in the new build, or a short in a wire somewhere on ArenaNet's side of things.

The Stone Summit popping up from behind the rocks isn't a bug/glitch, it's been there forever.

Not had any problems yet.
And i've been farming iDS's on a regular basis.

Oh a GW forum
I've been experiencing this in Ice Flow on my mesmer, I can attack mursat from across the damn screen. What's happening though is your avatar's position isn't corresponding with your actuall position. So you can run all over the place, but you actually aren't moving. Think of it as there is a little invisable marker that the game uses to keep track of your position, and the positions of all other NPCS on the map. When you load a map each time your computer doesn't have to constantly request data on the map to render it for every frame.. that would be horribly laggy, so your computer has the full map and graphics in memory when you play. What your computer is talking to the servers about is all the underlying things, like those little markers that the game uses to define the points on the map every npc is on. When things get laggy, this communication gets messed up, so you can run all over the map (when I was in ice-flow I was surrounded by murssaat but I could run all the way into grotto, through the portal, without zoning and still see the numbers popping up from battle) but on the servers end you are not changing position. Or it can go vice versa where the NPC's postion doesn't update for you.
