I just ran through a portal to zone with the interface turned off (ctrl-shift-h) and was surprised to find no loading screen. The screen just froze, vibrated a bit, flickered a bit, and then showed the next area.
I'd never run across that before. I only did now because taking my rit through tyria i've been playing with the interface off as much as possible (enjoying looking around more - somehow i never did with my original tyrian chars. There's some great views).
Only tested in Riverside province --> Twin serpent lakes and back as that's where i happen to be but i assume it's universal.
Is this common knowledge? I just never saw it mentioned before anyway. Not that it's any use. I don't think it's faster or anything. But i suppose it looks kinda better continuity-wise, not having a loading screen suddenly popping up.
