Unlock the new Tyrian/Canthan Heroes today!

As many of you probably know, you can now unlock the Necromancer Olias and the Assassin XXXX in Tyria and Cantha now. Although you can't use them, the new quests enemies seem to drop rares often as well. Anyways, here's the quest pop-ups:

If you guys haven't heard about the other "beneficial" bug; salvage any mods you want now. The current base chance for salvaging without destroying the weapon is 80% instead of the intended 50%.

I think it could have been a bug where Players who havent gotten their copy of NF would be able to unlock Heros, which perhaps wasnt what Anet had intended. No free hand outs :P

Well, this ends the discussion topic about who would be the new Heroes... Bah I really hoped for Gwen for Chapter 1....

I hope this doesn't mess up my ranger. She nabbed Olias last night before they "fixed" the quests.

Even though some of us were able to unlock the hero, we were unable to add the hero to our party. It would state we don't own "the campaign to use this hero".

Of course I don't know about those people that already have their NF keys. Perhaps they can now use these heros? Alas I don't have my key

Also interesting is the error. Makes it sound like there will be new heros in future chapters.

Yeah when I finely got thing's loaded it was just in time to see " A new Build" message so I downloaded and missed out getting the hero's =(, but that's ok I get my NF at noon here, and have to wait 8 hours.

Wasn't it 75%? I have a rank 3 TH and Rank 2 Wisdom so I have like an 85% chance then! XD

But yea, I managed to salavage a 20% Axe enchant mod off a rare Axe that dropped when I was getting my heroes. :]

The Canthan Hero is "A15 Zenmai". Some guildies and alliancers of ours nabbed the quest before we were forcibly dropped from the servers. Trying to remember if we got any screenies...

The Olias quest definetly gave some great drops.

The thing that's screwy is that it gave the quest as if you were from Elona. I hope that doesnt stay the norm. Change the text of the quest depending on where the character is from.

well I ain't going to unlock any heroes - at least for my main character - until there's a full list of heroes and elite heroes, i dont want any that I wouldnt use

Cherrie, from what I've read, some heroes you will get automatically (Like Koss) and others are in quests. Also, some quests allow you to pick one hero over another one. With that though, it was said that you can get the heroes you missed after you beat the NF campaign. I think GuildWiki has that info under their "Nightfall" tab. Check it and see.
