Trial/Buddy Key Requests

Hi everyone,

I currently have both Prophecies and Factions, and was talkin to a friend about the game (who plays WoW) and buggin him to get it. He's interested in the game and wants to try it out before he buys it, so I was wondering if there's someplace I can get an free trial key for him to try the game for a day or two to see if he likes it? I've thought about getting the Pre-Release bonus pack, but because it's so close to the launch of Nightfall, I'm not sure if I could get one still.

So I guess the point of this thread is to ask if there's someplace on Anet's website to get one or if anyone has a spare trial key they aren't going to use that they wouldn't mind giving to me to pass on to my friend?

You can still find the prerelease packs all over, and when you buy Nightfall it'll have a trial key too.

Here (The Netherlands, Europe) every copy of Prophecies and Factions that i bought had an extra trail key (10 hours or 14 days), but i already gave them away. I assume Nightfall will also have such trail key...

An i think it is still worth getting a pre-release bonuspack as it also gives you an extra slot + 2 bonusitems... but that is my 0.02€

is it possible to just buy an access key for nightfall insted of the box cd etc and wait for dilivery.....

there releasing nightfall in the online store on the 27th. The game is added directly to your account so you dont have to worry about delivery.

I've still got both (Epic Trial Key and Nightfall Buddy Key) and I've pretty much got all my friends that game playing Guild Wars, so I don't mind giving away either of them.

I'm giving the Nightfall Buddy Key to bokken, feel free to PM be about the Epic Trial Key.

Is it possible to use Nightfall buddy key to retail Prophecies & Factions account and therefore play Nightfall untill it expires and continue playing with the NF characters once you add retail key?

nope, you can only create a new account with the key. Some guy in another thread emailed anet about it, and they said you could only create a new account with it

Supposedly Nightfall comes with a "buddy" key (14 days / 10 hours free trial). Can you merge such a key with a Prophecies/ Factions account? I guess not?!

If it was possible, that'd be an easy work-around for those who haven't received their keys yet. Get one from a buddy who has!
