I know I'm going to get flamed for this, and I guess I deserve what I get for asking a stupid question, but what is the intent/purpose for this? Where is something like this meant to be used, I guess I'm just too dumb to catch it.

The only problem I can see is the "pop-up" should be next to the cursor. Mine appears half off the bottom edge, so I have to scroll the page up a bit and look again. (Firefox)

Nice to have links so people can instantly look up the skills when mentioned in posts - congrats all involved.

Oh - it'd be awesome if we could have sigs that allowed 8 of these for a "skill bar" type sig. They would not be [IMG] tags, so it should work if sigs was turned on, but images disabled...

None actually. Same output, same options. The second tag has been impemented for those who want to use both Liu Pi's gwBBcode (text based, very flexible, lots of functions) and the sofBBcode (prettier, more complete/diverse, can be used for skill highlights and other discussions, or sealed deck tournaments). In this case, the [ skill ] tag is monopolized by one library (the last installed) so the [ card ] tag is a backup tag able to solve compatiblity issues.
