Nightfall CE still hasn't shipped from Amazon!

I ordered my NF CE from Amazon over 6 weeks ago and at the same time ordered a regular edition for a friend. Well, yesterday I got the regular NF edition, but the CE still hasn't shipped from Amazon (USA)

Yesterday, it had a ship date of today (10/26)

Today, it has a ship date of tomorrow (10/27)

But things aren't looking good for me to receive this in time for the weekend. I paid extra for 1-day shipping, which now might not pay off. My only choice is to sit all weekend in Tyria, or burn $50 and use the regular NF edition and buy it again for my friend.

Getting worried...

You should never EVER preorder things from online stores when you know it will be available in stores on launch day. Look at everyone who gotten their copies right now (i'll be getting mine in about a hour) from stores such as Gamestop, Ebgames, Fry's, BB and other places.

Maybe you can contact Amazon directly to see if they have ship out your order yet?

Strange. I ordered 2 CEs from Amazon 7 weeks ago and also paid extra for next day shipping and I got my CEs yesterday afternoon. I really hate that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when they seem to fill orders. You could always go out and buy a CE from a local store and then return the unopened CE you will eventually receive from Amazon. That was my back-up plan until I got my copies.

I ordered the regular edition from amazon several weeks ago. They changed the ship date to 10/30 last week. Just canceled my order and will pick it up in a store tomorrow.

I preordered the CE from Amazon as backup. Since I picked it up at Best Buy today, I canceled the order. If I remember correctly, I think the last ship date stated Oct. 31st. That just won't do.

same with amazon.co.uk they say 31st to the 3rd before they even ship! If places like play, sendit and dvd.co.uk can get the CE to people before the release date why can't amazon!

my CE ship date with amazon was delayed also...with delivery now expected nov1-3rd. Im just goin to wait it out, check out the halloween stuff, etc...not a big deal for me if I start a few days after the go-live date.

Got my two CE copies from Amazon yesterday. Of course I ordered them as soon as they were available to order.

UNBELIEVABLE! The day of the event they delay shipments!!! Now I have to cancel the order and pray Best Buy still has a CE left when I get off work! GRRRRRRRR!

Poor Car... I'm getting Nightfall CE today. Hopefully idiots at my local Gamestop haven't sold my copy yet.

Good news everyone.. seem that in Fremont, CA (small town kinda) Only one reservation for Guild Wars Nightfall CE... ME! lol, guess they'll be alot of copies of Nightfall here. If you need one car.. let me know or buy it from Gamestop.com

You have to call them up and bitch them out. Tell them that the game went live today and there is just no excuse for not getting it to you on time. They will send it out and upgrade to next day for free.

Start playing the game now! My recommendation for people who have pre-ordered and have yet to received the game would be to purchase the game via the In-Game Online Store. You have a choice in the Online Store for SE/CE/PvP Editions.

When you finally receive your pre-order, just take/send it back for a refund. If you do not break the seal, it should not be a problem getting your money back. (or check if it is not too late to cancel your order)

Don't cancel your Amazon order until after you leave Best Buy with a CE in your hands. I'd hate to miss out on the CE (late, even) because I canceled my preorder and then couldn't find it anywhere else.

You can purchase CE via the Online Store (if not today, sometime thereafter). There will be no shortages of CE for Nightfall (as per Gaile chat on 10-25-06).

So...they will send you the Art Book, mini-standee, etc., if you purchase it through the online store? I've already bought mine, anyhow...but unless they ship you the stuff in the box...
