I was annoyed by the AoE nerf in the 10/25 build. It completely ruined my planned Hero build.
So, I thought of a build which used AoE sparingly. The answer, of course, is melee.
So how can a Necromancer support melee? Very easily. More easily than you may think.
This build is designed to support 3 Melee heroes. (a Warrior, a Dervish, and an Assassin Hero, for example), with 2 Henchmen melee fighters as well. With the sheer amount of physical damage increases this Necromancer support build can produce, enemies will die near instantly.
Necromancer:
Blood Magic: 15 (11 + 1 + 3)
Soul Reaping: 13 (10 + 3)
Curses: 13 (10 + 3)
1 Rune of Superior Vigor
1 Rune of Attunement
Barbs – For 30 seconds, target foe takes 9 more damage when hit by physical damage. 10e 2c 5r
Icy Veins (e) – Target foe is struck for 79 cold damage. For 32 seconds, if target foe dies all nearby foes are struck for 98 cold damage. 5e 1s 5r
Dark Fury – Sacrifice 17% maximum health. For 5 seconds, whenever any nearby party member hits with an attack, that party member gains one hit of adrenaline. (50% failure chance with Blood Magic of 4 or less.) 10e .75c 5r
Order of Pain – Sacrifice 17% Health. For 5 seconds, whenever a party member hits a foe with physical damage, that party member does an additional 16 damage. 10e 2c
Blood Renewal – Sacrifice 25% maximum Health. For 10 seconds, you gain +6 Health regeneration. When Blood Renewal ends, you gain 190 Health. 5e 1c 10r
Well of Blood – Exploit nearest corpse to create a Well of Blood at its location. For 20 seconds, allies in that area receive +6 Health regeneration. 15e 2c 2r
Well of Silence – Exploit target corpse to create a Well of Silence for 27 seconds. Foes within the well cannot use Shouts or Chants and suffer -4 Health degeneration. 15e 2c 20r
Ressurection Signet
This build is simple. Constantly keep Blood Renewal active. Call a target, cast Barbs and Icy Veins on the target. Follow up with Dark Fury and Order of Pain. By that time, Barbs should have fully recharged, so repeat the chain on another target. Whenever a corpse is available, cast Well of Blood, or Well of Silence if there already is a Well of Blood.
These skills add a massive amount of DPS to your melee fighters. Barbs adds 9 damage per hit, which is an additional 40ish total DPS to that enemy (in a party of 5 melee fighters). Order of Pain adds 16 armor-ignoring damage to each hit, which is about another 75ish total DPS (in a party of 5 melee fighters). A constant 115 DPS increase is much more than any class can consistently put out. That, of course, doesn’t even factor in the damage from Icy Veins, Adrenaline boost from Dark Fury, the degen of the Well of Silence, and the regen of Well of Blood. This build is incredibly versatile. Just make sure you don’t die!
