Can I install beforehand?

I have the CE of Nightfall here with me and was wondering if I could install the DVD now and just register the key at 7.00 am when the game goes live. I really want to get the 4 GB install over and done with in advance. Any help is appreciated.

Yep you can install it in advance, but if you are already playing GW you don't need to as Nightfall has already been downloaded to your PC.

You'd be better off installing (if you don't already play GW) early, because when you run it you'll probably need to download some updates and it's better to get that done a few hours in advance of the Nightfall server opening, so you can start playing straight away when it does.

Yes I do play GW and I remember downloading a massive update before the World Preview Event so I shouldn't bother with the DVD?

Nope, it's only for people starting Guild Wars for the first time. You're all set for NightFall

You can pull content with the CD, even if you don't have access to the servers yet. I don't think it'll be a major download, but we're streaming content even today.
