Ok, so with the recent update, Zealots Fire took a hit, meaning that the energy management of 55ers was in trouble due to the quick loss of energy, but i give you, the mach 2! Works fine on Hydra's anyway.

Professions: Mo/Me 55 (5 superior monk runes)

Inspiration: 5
Healing: 13 (10 + 3)
Smiting: 15 (12 + 3)
Protection: 10 (7 + 3)
Divine Favor: 7 (4 + 3)

[card]Mantra of Concentration[/card][card]Protective Spirit[/card][card]Healing Breeze[/card][card]Shield of Judgment[/card][card]Channeling[/card][card]Zealot's Fire[/card][card]Balthazar's Spirit[/card][card]Mending[/card]

Ah. Although the skill card does not show it, Zealot's Fire has been updated and now says that whenever an enemy is hit by damage caused by this spell you lose 1 energy. So surrounded by 4 hydras, with zealot's on, if you cast a spell you lose 4 energy. With this build, you're cancelling out the energy loss of Zealot's Fire by using channeling, which when surrounded by 4 hydras gives you the energy back that you lose from Zealots.

anyway, its just a thought, and a way to keep going and to get around the ZF nerf.

feedback would be appreciated please

wont work
I'm pretty sure the hydras will run away at low health from SOJ
Its not so much the ZF nerf as the AOE scatter nerf

Of course I could be wrong, and hydras could be exempt since they SEEM to be elementalists. Have you tried it out?

I've been running;

IW, Conjure Nightmare, Mantra of Flame, Essbond, Baltha spirit, mending, healing breeze, prot spirit.

Conjure nightmare gets spread around, and you can hunt a single target down with IW if need be. It's true if you aggro many and damage one, it will retreat. However, just plug CN on him and switch targets to another. It takes very little time to kill a single Hydra.

Slower than SoJ, but still fully functionable and can take large aggroes.

and Avarre, CN costing 25 energy, when u get down to a couple of hydras, how do u manage the energy?

mantra of flame + eb + bs = 3e for every spell they cast on you. 2e for normal attacks. Its a good energy-engine

Actually with the mantra buff, its 2 energy for mantra, so 4 when hit by a spell

When I get down to one I can just finish it off with IW, if there are troubles with energy.

I have been running A standard 55 build after the update and I can tank about 6 or 7 while finishing them off with the second soj. ANY MORE AGGRO AND THEY RUN!!! PERIOD, Its kind of strange.

Just my 2 cents and what I observed.
