How come Silver dye is used in Character Creation...

and not gray? It's kinda annoying seeing a bunch of level 3 people running around in full silver armor... since silver is an "expensive dye" now everybody uses it exclusively since it's free to get... I miss the colorful world our characters once lived in

at least its not black

It isn't silver. It is gray. You know the two look kind of the same right?
Gray is the new default base color for all armors and acts as the dye remover.

well, i think the silver craze will die down in a bit and if it doesn't, well then people will be faced with the choice of shelling out the money for silver dye or keeping their intro armor which has a pitiful AL. yes in starter cities silver will be more common now, but it'll balance out.
I just like having more options. that always makes me happy

I do not see many people wear silver dye, and if they do, it doesn't effect my gaming. And I find Silver much prettier than Gray. Gray s dull... while silver is lustress so to your colorful world hting, silver works better for me!!!
bigwig
and how long do you think people will run around in their newbie armour from character selection?

Within a few quests and about 1 mission they need to change in order to survive.
So its bye bye to the silver armor pretty soon.
