With the Tyrian/Canthan quest Battle Preparations? Cause I can't find this Kormir person and a few other having the problem. I was wondering if anyone else here was having that problem with their Tyrian/Canthan characters. I mean you can just make a new character in Elona but I'm not gonna do that just yet. It's kinda dissapointing we cant' even get past first quest and there's a bug already

I also have a problem with one of my Tyrian characters. Did you do the Orders quest first by chance? that is the only thing I can think of could be causing our problem.

Yeah I did the heros order quest first.

Same problem here, did order, no Kormir.

Yep that's what it is guys, I used another character didnt' do Order quest and it worked just fine.

Thanks, yeah I ended up getting a ferry anyways. New build was just released so that fixes the problem on everything.

Its May of 2007 and ArenaNet still didn't fix this bug. Since today I had the same problem with my lvl 20mo/me I brought to Elona from Tyria. I mistakenly accepted the Command Training Quest first by talking with First Spear Dehvad and Tactician Haj before I talked to Kormir to get the Battlefield Preparations Quest. Then I realized something was wrong since Kormir vanished nowhere to be found. So I couldn't get the quest Battlefield Preparations from her. No Battlefield Preparations = No heroes and no more progression through the main storyline. So basically it ruined this character which happens to be my favorite one I worked on for months to bring it this far. Why wont they fix this bug. It seems like it would be easy to fix. Shame on you ArenaNet!!

have you tried abandoning the quest, leaving the outpost and re-entering?

Yes, I abandoned the quest when I was in town and tried to find Kormir then, but she has vanished from the game and I can't advance the storyline any further I think. I wrote the Guild Wars support website about this bug. I hope they will repair the problem.

Try looking for Seamarshal Bendro instead (probably in the Sun Docks). He is the one who gives you the Battle Preparations quest, not Kormir. Also, you probably need to finish Sunspears in Kryta/Cantha before you can get the quest.

Thankyou!! I looked in my quest log under Sunspears in Kryta and it said to talk with Spearmarshall Bendro. Once I did that everything was fine, since it said in there to talk to Kormir. And she was in the place she was meant to be. I was following a quest walkthrough from the web instead of my quest log in the game. The one on the web simply said talk to Kormir. It didn't say talk to talk with Spearmarshall Bendro. Thankyou for your help since it solved my problem. Now I can continue using my favorite character. Thanks again.
