Hello everyone,

Ok here's the problem: last week, i buy 4 black dyes for my husband's 15k Kurzick Ritualist's armor.
He puts it on: stark black as expected
Today, i buy the one missing for his head thingy.
He put's it on: blue.....

Am i missing something here?

Or course i had not known about this and in the process had bought 5 more for his new necro armor; and guess what?

Purple...

Please, if the "Powers that Be" are reading this, change it back... please...
Thank you very much for the white, but we also love our black

Least he still has his dye, my 8K Necro scar patterns which I dyed black months ago to make the scar pattern more defined (yes it did change - see the screenshots I posted elsewhere) have now reverted to the standard colour since they've made it possible to change the colour of the underwear which is now the grey base colour, so instead of a nicely defined black pattern I now have a crappy looking blurry set

Bit pissed off actually as to get it back to looking how I liked it is going to cost around 40K

Sincerely sorry to hear this, Blackhawk...

Yeah he still has his armor, but he'll never be able to wear the head thingy withought looking weird.
To be honest, i wouldn't mind paying 40k for his armor to match if that is what it took.
As it is, we don't even have that possibility...

'turn head thingy off from showing' at least, eh?

but yeah every big update/chapter release ya gotta cringe/wonder about your characters model, hair, and now armor & dyes!

Something similar happened to me. My Necro had Canthan armor and I died it a hybrid green+silver+silver for this cool neon green look.

Anyway after the update all my characters had starter armor for like 10 seconds (My ranger looking like that brought me back to when I first bought the game), and after that there normal armor appeared. But for some reason my necro had some kind of red purple color to his armor.

Also for some reason my Mesmer always has his headgear on during the character select screen when I have it turned off (because I hate it).

I agree. I know they were trying to make it darker and all that but it looked better before.

I've noticed some changes to orange dye on my druid ranger boots and some changes to a red/orange mix on my warrior as well.

It has something to do with base color.

They changed all armor's base to gray.

For example, Rit kurz 15k used to have brown base, now it is gray. If you would to find the dye that turn gray armor into your old base color, then combine that base dye with black, you should be able to obtain the old black dye 15k kurz.

My silver carapace shield changed back to standard gold as well.

I sympathize when it comes to black though.

I swore off black dye when I found out it's navy on most armors. Navy just isn't as badass as black!

Yes, the armors which have been dyed before Nightfall still look the same.
But, like i said, the thing is i didn't have enough $ to buy all five dyes before the expansion, and now 4 pieces are black, and another, purple...

Anyways it says Black on the bottle - and at 10k a vial, it "blip" well should be Black...

Just my opinion

Not happy

Otherwise, Nightfall is great!!!!

Hum... There is one more thingy: Since Nightfall, my minions do get stuck often or just sometimes stay idle when surrounded by enemies... :/
But that's no biggie, i'm sure it will be fixed And for now i can work around it.

However as far as black dye in concerned......

I don't know if anyones noticed but old browns also changed. I loved having my Ranger's druids armor being the same color as the non-dyable bits =(

My dark red monk fow armor had turned to brown after the update. I sent a bug report about it and a day or two later the colour had changed back to normal.

Thank you, Leijah, for the tip Will try that avenue.

Witchblade: why impossible?
Anything is possible for programmers. i know, i am married to one
No need to fix all the armors, just fine-tune the shade of black dye in a way that it appears black again; we'll be glad to buy new dye, even at 10k a vial.

It's simple: The Black can and should be brought back to what it was...
It has to... The thought of buying new armor and not being able to dye it black is just unbearable for some of us.

As AJM said: "Navy just isn't as badass as black!"
